MIND YOU: They dont have Mo Rivera, they dont have Pineda (Both gone for the season)

Petitte is out til August

David Robertson missed a good chunk of the 1st half

Brett Gardener has missed almost ALL of the 1st half

Their getting nothing offensively from the catcher position

And yet somehow, they have the best record in the league

And clearly look better than everyone else.

So what are you saying?

what i'm saying is that when you do what the yankees do and how they do it, people expect them to win. nobody cares about who is on the DL, who isn't producing, who looks old or any of that. it comes with the territory.

It might come with the territory true

but you still cant treat injuries to Mo Rivera and Pineda as if they arent major losses

My only point is, in a season they werent the favorites, their running away with the best record in the league

who picked the rays to win the division? with what offense? i'm sorry but i didnt hear that.. i aint gonna argue you with the rangers.. even heard the angels (as WS winners).. but as far as the division is concerned.. why would anybody pick against the yanks? and even tho mo rivera is hurt, and the other guys the yanks are missing.. i argue the rays losing evan longoria is more impactful than any of em. with the sox struggling, b-more fallin off, NYY is sittin pretty.

Alotta ESPN folks picked the Rays since they have "superior pitching" and their younger. Even the Sox were chosen by a few, not saying nobody picked the Yankees but they werent everyones favorite. B-More hasnt fallen off though, they might be in this race all year. But nobody is gonna catch the Yankees
