Then you'd be renting a player for half a season cuz Hamels wants his Cake , and he's looking for a 7 year deal , and lets be realistic Cole Hamels isn't looking for a 7 year deal with the Pirates ...He wants his deal to be closer to the CC Sabathia deal
Texas probably has the biggest pull right now , Phillies need a Future SS to take over for Jimmy when his time is up and Texas has the Number 1 SS prospect in all of Minors and top 5 Prospect overall in Minors in Jurickson Profar ....Texas already has Elvis Andrus and if Cole Hamels is willing to play long term in Texas then i can see Texas doing a Jurickson Profar & Derek Holland For Cole Hamels deal ...
