They in a division with the Yanks, Rays and Red Sox, they go struggle to be a .500 team

The Jays have been over .500 5 out of the last 6 seasons...they will be a 100 win team this year.

So? The Jays are what the Rays were when they were relevant....young talented with a strong starting lineup and bullpin. Not to mention Batista is still there and the rest of lineup arent easy outs either.

The Jays can make the playoffs, and might be better than the Sox, but the AL is just stacked so.. it'll be tough for them.

Anyways, the MLB Opener is on tomorrow at 6am E/T. No fucks given about it right? But if you want to see it, firstrowsports probably has it,

Magic johnson just won the bid to buy the LA Dodgers

Correction, Magic and his business associates now own the Dodgers.

Johnson/Kasten Group Agrees To Buy Dodgers

The Dodgers have reached an agreement to be sold to the Guggenheim Partners - led by Magic Johnson and Stan Kasten - reports MLB.com's Ken Gurnick (Twitter links). Dennis Berman of The Wall Street Journal reports that they will pay $2 billion for the team, by far the most ever paid for a North American sports franchise. The team has confirmed the sale.

"I am thrilled to be part of the historic Dodger franchise and intend to build on the fantastic foundation as we drive the Dodgers back to the front page of the sports section in our wonderful community of Los Angeles," said Johnson in a statement passed along by ESPN's Molly Knight (Twitter links).

“This transaction underscores the Debtors’ objective to maximize the value of their estate and to emerge from Chapter 11 under a successful Plan of Reorganization, under which all creditors are paid in full," said the team in a statement according to Knight (Twitter links).

The Dodgers are getting the best of both worlds with the sale. Magic brings some serious local starpower while Kasten provides decades of baseball experience. He has previous served as the president of the Braves and Nationals. The Johnson/Kasten group was competing with Stan Kroenke and a group led by Steve Cohen and Patrick Soon-Shiong. All three bidders were approved by the other MLB owners just today.

@infamous114

Seig trying to extend the MLB's pull in Japan. This is ridiculous, Opening Day should be on the first Friday of April IN North America, not Japan.
