Cashmere Wright: 8.9 ppg, 3.9 apg, .352 3p%
Top Newcomers:
Jermaine Sanders is their top prospect, but he is not ranked in the top 100.
Notes:
They did lose a couple starters, but they bring back their top 5 scorers so expectations are higher than usual.
17.Texas A&M
Top Returning Players:
Khris Middleton: 14.4 ppg, 5.2 rpg, .361 3p%
David Loubeau: 11.8 ppg, 5.0 rpg
Kourtney Roberson: 5.6 ppg, 3.8 rpg
Najj Hibbert: 5.2 ppg, .328 3p%
Dash Harris: 4.2 ppg, 3.1 apg
Top Newcomers:
Jamal Branch is the #9 Point Guard in his class.
Elston Turner is a transfer from Washington.
Notes:
New Coach Billy Kennedy inherits a team that could contend for the big 12 title with Middleton leading the way as a rising star. They will have help after acquiring a big time shooter in Turner from Washington.
18. Gonzaga
Top Returning Players:
Robert Sacre: 12.5 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 1.9 bpg
Elias Harris: 12.4 ppg, 6.0 rpg, .353 3p%
Marquise Carter: 6.3 ppg, .386 3p%
Sam Dower: 7.6 ppg
Kelly Olynyk: 5.8 ppg, .444 3p%
Top Newcomers:
Gary Bell is the #18 Shooting Guard in his class.
Kevin Pangos is the #19 Point Guard in his class.
Notes:
They return everyone of importance with the exception of their star, Steven Gray. Their front court of Sacre and Harris is one of the best in the nation, but the key will be their point guard play... which is questionable at the moment.
19. Florida State
Top Returning Players:
Michael Snaer: 8.8 ppg, .368 3p%
Deividas Dulkys: 7.3 ppg, .333 3p%
Top Newcomers:
Antwan Space is the #18 Small Forward in his class.
Jeff Peterson is a transfer from Arkansas.
Notes:
They lost their top 2 scores which includes their all around star, Chris Singleton. They still have a lot of length and athletic ability in the front court. Their key is point guard play, which was their trouble last year and could be again this year.
20. Michigan
Top Returning Players:
Tim Hardaway Jr: 13.9 ppg, .367 3p%
Zach Novak: 8.9 ppg, 5.8 rpg, .385 3p%
Jordan Morgan: 9.2 ppg, 5.4 rpg
Stu Douglass: 7.1 ppg, .358 3p%
Top Newcomers:
Trey Burke is the #15 Point Guard in his class.
Carlton Brundidge is the #20 Shooting Guard in his class.
Notes:
The Wolverines have veterans with Novak and Douglass and sophomores who received plenty of experience a year ago in Hardaway, Morgan and Smotrycz. Now they will need someone to step in and fill the void at the point left by Morris, and it may wind up being Burke.
