I was watchin midnight madness for about 2 hours last night when I got home....Uconn looks even better this year smfh.

ACC basketball >>>>>

(since Cuse is gon move there soon)......but with no NBA this year most likely, college basketball should be even GOATer than usual

edit: Rick Jackson will not be missed, Kris Joseph should be able to play 3 and 4 this season while Melo, Waiters and Christmas can occupy the 4/5 slots...Melo is good but idk if im his bandwagon that much, Christmas though he might turn out to be a beast from day 1 if he can get the minutes.

Look for a bounce back year from Baylor.
A STACKED front court, mixed with a few experienced guards (what we didn't have last year)

Key addition: Pierre Jackson (Point guard transfer, JUCO player of the year last season)

Key return: Perry Jones III (Pre-Season Big 12 player of the year)

Key problem: Finding minutes for everyone in the front court.

Key player: AJ Walton (The man behind 50% of Baylor's turnovers last season)

I agree Millz, I don't think Cuse will miss him either. They are obviously a better team this year than they were last year.

I can't believe I missed that shit last year :(
This is why you need twitter, so you can tell me these things if I ain't on AIM.

@ Co-Town, word Baylor is at #12 Pre-Season. From the looks of it they have a real shot at winning the Big 12, if Perry Jones does what he should and like you said, AJ Walton really needs to stop turning it over. That was gross to watch sometimes last year.

The other thing about Cuse though...Scoop Jardine, I fuckin hate him I swear. He's not a true point guard, but not a great scoring point guard either he's just right in the middle...with all the big men and scorers Cuse got they could use a nigga like kendall marshall from unc who gets his team involved.

You missed what though? that Cuse and Pitt are going to the ACC? smh

Can't wait for those freshmen to come in.

I still think Austin Rivers is overrated, but good guards are at a premium.

Tell me why they always got such a soft non conference schedule. Did the same thing last year and it usually winds up hurting them when it comes time for March.

This year their best opponents non conf = @Northwestern, West Virginia, Miss St.

I also hate the OOC for us.
It's like Coach Drew is expecting to get into the tourney based on the strength of the Big 12 alone.

Closest OOC game we'll have is possibly SDSU when they come to Waco.
The rest is fairly laughable tho.

Oh true I missed the SDSU game. Still... lol

Apparently I typed too much for one post, so I'll continue in this post.

Top 25 Continued...

11. Florida
Top Returning Players:
Erving Walker: 14.6 ppg, 3.4 apg, .385 3p%
Kenny Boynton: 14.2 ppg, .331 3p%
Erik Murphy: 4.3 pph, .400 3p%
Patric Young: 3.4 ppg
Top Newcomers:
Bradley Beal is a McDonalds All-American and the #2 Shooting Guard in his class.
Notes:
Their backcourt which led them to the Elite 8 remains and they bring in a great freshman in Beal. Many believe that Patric Young could turn into a pro prospect, and if he has a breakout year that could mean Florida can will the SEC.

12. Baylor
Top Returning Players:
Perry Jones: 13.9 ppg, 7.2 rpg
Quincy Acy: 12.4 ppg, 7.6 rpg, 1.5 bpg
Anthony Jones: 8/5 ppg, 5.3 rpg, .394 3p%
AJ Walton: 7.9 ppg, 4.7 apg, .385 3p%
Top Newcomers:
Quincy Miller is the #3 Power Forward in his class.
Duece Bello is the #17 Small Forward in his class.
Notes:
The roster is definitely loaded with talent. Perry Jones should be one of the best bigs in the country and Quincy Miller could be one of the best freshman. If they get solid play around them the team should contend for the big 12 title.

13. Xavier
Top Returning Players:
Tu Holloway: 19.7 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 5.4 apg, .345 3p%
Mark Lyons: 13.6 ppg, 3.1 apg, .336 3p%
Kenny Frease: 11.7 ppg, 7.1 rpg
Top Newcomers:
Dezmine Wells is the #14 Small Forward in his class.
Notes:
Tu Holloway alone is a good enough scorer to give them a chance against any team, and make them the A-10 favorites.

14. Kansas
Top Returning Players:
Thomas Robinson: 7.6 ppg, 6.4 rpg
Tyshawn Taylor: 9.3 ppg, 4.6 apg, .380 3p%
Travis Releford: 3.7 ppg, .378 3p%
Top Newcomers:
Ben McLemore is the #15 Small Forward in his class.
Naadir Tharpe is the #17 Point Guard in his class.
Notes:
This is Kansas' least talented group in a while. Robinson will be a beast and Taylor needs to fulfill his potential for Kansas to remain on top of the Big 12.

15. Arizona
Top Returning Players:
Kyle Fogg: 8.1 ppg, .355 3p%
Solomon Hill: 8.0 ppg, 4.7 rpg, .354 3p%
Kevin Parrom: 7.6ppg, .418 3p%
Jesse Perry: 6.6 ppg, 4.4 rpg
Top Newcomers:
Josiah Turner is the #3 Point Guard in his class.
Nick Johnson is the #5 Shooting Guard in his class.
Amgelo Chol is the #9 Power Forward in his class.
Sidiki Johnson is the #18 Power Forward in his class.
Notes:
They will not miss Derrick Williams... LOL just kidding. However they do have plenty of pieces and they bring in a very solid freshman class led by Turner and Johnson. They key could be how Parrom returns from an off-season gunshot to his leg.

Top 25 Continued...

16. Cincinnati

Top Returning Players:

Yancy Gates: 11.9 ppg, 6.9 rpg, 1.3 bpg

Dion Dixon: 11.6 ppg, .356 3p%

Sean Kilpatrick: 9.7 ppg, .377 3p%

Cashmere Wright: 8.9 ppg, 3.9 apg, .352 3p%

Top Newcomers:

Jermaine Sanders is their top prospect, but he is not ranked in the top 100.

Notes:

They did lose a couple starters, but they bring back their top 5 scorers so expectations are higher than usual.

17.Texas A&M

Top Returning Players:

Khris Middleton: 14.4 ppg, 5.2 rpg, .361 3p%

David Loubeau: 11.8 ppg, 5.0 rpg

Kourtney Roberson: 5.6 ppg, 3.8 rpg

Najj Hibbert: 5.2 ppg, .328 3p%

Dash Harris: 4.2 ppg, 3.1 apg

Top Newcomers:

Jamal Branch is the #9 Point Guard in his class.

Elston Turner is a transfer from Washington.

Notes:

New Coach Billy Kennedy inherits a team that could contend for the big 12 title with Middleton leading the way as a rising star. They will have help after acquiring a big time shooter in Turner from Washington.

18. Gonzaga

Top Returning Players:

Robert Sacre: 12.5 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 1.9 bpg

Elias Harris: 12.4 ppg, 6.0 rpg, .353 3p%

Marquise Carter: 6.3 ppg, .386 3p%

Sam Dower: 7.6 ppg

Kelly Olynyk: 5.8 ppg, .444 3p%

Top Newcomers:

Gary Bell is the #18 Shooting Guard in his class.

Kevin Pangos is the #19 Point Guard in his class.

Notes:

They return everyone of importance with the exception of their star, Steven Gray. Their front court of Sacre and Harris is one of the best in the nation, but the key will be their point guard play... which is questionable at the moment.

19. Florida State

Top Returning Players:

Michael Snaer: 8.8 ppg, .368 3p%

Deividas Dulkys: 7.3 ppg, .333 3p%

Top Newcomers:

Antwan Space is the #18 Small Forward in his class.

Jeff Peterson is a transfer from Arkansas.

Notes:

They lost their top 2 scores which includes their all around star, Chris Singleton. They still have a lot of length and athletic ability in the front court. Their key is point guard play, which was their trouble last year and could be again this year.

20. Michigan

Top Returning Players:

Tim Hardaway Jr: 13.9 ppg, .367 3p%

Zach Novak: 8.9 ppg, 5.8 rpg, .385 3p%

Jordan Morgan: 9.2 ppg, 5.4 rpg

Stu Douglass: 7.1 ppg, .358 3p%

Top Newcomers:

Trey Burke is the #15 Point Guard in his class.

Carlton Brundidge is the #20 Shooting Guard in his class.

Notes:

The Wolverines have veterans with Novak and Douglass and sophomores who received plenty of experience a year ago in Hardaway, Morgan and Smotrycz. Now they will need someone to step in and fill the void at the point left by Morris, and it may wind up being Burke.

Top 25 Finished

21. UCLA

Top Returning Players:

Reeves Nelson: 13.9 ppg, 9.1 rpg

Josh Smith: 10.9 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 1 bpg

Lazeric Jones: 9.1 ppg, 3.6 apg, .352 3p%

Top Newcomers:

Norman Powell is the #15 Shooting Guard in his class

Travis and David Wear transferred from UNC.

Notes:

The Bruins will be a force up front with Nelson, Smith and the Wear Twins -- who are eligible after transferring back home after a season at North Carolina. They key may be Lazeric Jones who played well last year, but will need to make another jump for them to be real contenders for a deep March run.

22. Alabama

Top Returning Players:

JaMychal Green: 15.5 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 2.1 bpg

Tony Mitchell: 15.2 ppg, 7.1 rpg, 1.1 bpg

Trevor Releford: 11.1 ppg, 3.4 apg

Top Newcomers:

Levi Randolph is the #9 Shooting Guard in his class.

Trevor Lacey is the #13 Shooting Guard in his class.

Notes:

The Crimson Tide lost five of their top eight guys in the rotation, but back its top three players: Green, Mitchell and Releford. That trio along with two Top 100 freshmen has fans in Tuscaloosa excited about more than just football.

23. Missouri

Top Returning Players:

Marcus Denmon: 16.9 ppg, .448 3p%

Kim English: 10 ppg, 3.5 apg, .366 3p%

Ricardo Ratliff: 10.6 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 1.3 bpg

Phil Pressey: 6.5 ppg, 3.9 apg, .361 3p%

Top Newcomer:

None

Notes:

They have no shortage of quality perimeter players, the question is will their front court be able to compete.

24. Wisconsin

Top Returning Players:

Jordan Taylor: 18.1 ppg, 4.7 apg, .429 3p%

Josh Gasser: 5.9 ppg, 3.9 rpg

Mike Bruesewitz: 4.6 ppg, .323 3p%

Top Newcomers:

Jarrod Uthoff is the #14 Power Forward in his class.

Frank Kaminsky is the #13 Center in his class.

Notes:

It's hard not to put a Bo Ryan team in the top 25, especially when they have one of the best guards in the country in Jordan Taylor. Gasser and Breusewitz will have expanded roles this year as well.

25. Villanova

Top Returning Players:

Maalik Wayns: 13.8 ppg, 4.5 apg

Mouphtaou Yarou: 8.4 ppg, 7.1 rpg, 1 bpg

Dominic Cheek: 5.6 ppg

Top Newcomers:

Ty Johnson is the #12 Point Guard in his class.

Notes:

Corey Fisher, Corey Stokes and Antonio Pena are gone, but the Wildcats will be improved. Jay Wright still has Wayns in the backcourt and he may have his best collection of frontcourt guys since he arrived. Wings Cheek and Bell will need to produce -- and if they do, the Wildcats could be Big East title contenders.
