If someone brake checks me I simply wait until the next lane is clear and go around them. The person in the Honda was an asshole but the guy tailgating was more in the wrong.

No, if you're in the left lane you're supposed to be passing. If you're cruising in that lane and a car comes up behind you, regardless of their speed, you're supposed to get over to the right to let faster traffic by.

Going around is much easier than tailgating someone and potentially causing accidents. And why assume I'm only talking about the left lane.

You run the risk of causing an accident passing on the right to go around some asshole that refuses to get over like they're supposed to because someone next to you might get into that lane to pass correctly and here you are in the way for no good reason.

It's like those people that use the center turning lane to merge into traffic instead of waiting until traffic is clear like you're supposed to. I've personally witnessed maybe 20-25 head-on collisions because idiots use the turn lane improperly and get surprised when a car is coming towards them using the lane properly. I got into it with one driver that tried to get me as a witness to say he was in the right. I flat out told him that he caused the accident because he used the turning lane to merge like a dumbass and when the cops finally showed up they completely agreed with me and cited him.

What's the difference between the driver in front pulling over to the next lane, versus me going around?

If I have to go around you, im cutting it as close as humanly possible when cutting you off. I be fucking up these 15 and up cars as the car auto brakes lol

if your brake check me, i will rear end you ass and we can have at it on the side of the road however you want it

They should seriously consider treating road rage as a mental illness.

They teach defensive driving because there are sucky drivers and assholes out there and you must accept that. Stop saying "people should do this, people should do that", some people do fuck shyt, but YOU should just be trying to stay ALIVE. Not teaching complete strangers lessons on the road while we are traveling 60mph+ in 4000lb machines running on oil, electricity and gasoline. Not to mention you don't know who that person is you're choosing to be petty to. They might be a sucky driver, but they also might be an excellent shooter

A 72-year-old man who was arrested Saturday in connection with a fatal shooting in Aiea has been charged with second-degree murder, the Honolulu Police Department said Monday.

Darryl Freeman, a former firefighter who was convicted of several firearms violations in the early 1990s, is accused of killing 32-year-old Keenyn Pahio during an apparent road rage incident Saturday afternoon.

Freeman was also charged with several weapons violations as a result of the incident.

Friends say Pahio was driving with two of his daughters when he got into some sort of altercation with Freeman along Moanalua Road. Witnesses say Pahio got out of his car and punched Freeman, who then allegedly fired his weapon at Pahio in retaliation.



Freeman drove over Pahio's body before speeding off, according to witnesses at the scene. Police officers later located Freeman at his home, which was roughly two miles from the scene of the incident.

Freeman's neighbors told Hawaii News Now on Sunday that they had been living in fear of the man, claiming he threatened them with a gun and yelled out racial slurs.

Neighbors say police were frequently called to their Aiea street for reports against Freeman.

Pahio also has a criminal record and was recently placed on probation for drug charges.

Freeman's bail was set at $2 million.

I don't know. The zipper method works well in theory. But when you add the variable of human behavior, it doesn't work too well in practice, as you have aptly pointed out.

yoooooooooooooooooooooooooo. i never had a name for that shit but this happened to me in my younger years on the e way when a person was merging to get on. i was in the middle lane and another car was to the right of me on a three lane e way. so i see that person merging and i see the person next to me isnt gone speed up and i didnt want to stop their progress so since the left lane was open i merged, the person next to me merged and the person merging on the e way got on fine. then the person to the right of me merged back to the far right lane and i merged back into the left.

man that put tears in my eyes because this was two people who "knew" what to do in a situation like that. thats a beautiful thang right there. but you got other niggaZ who think driving is a right and not a privilege.

I obviously said no. He said he noticed I didn't take the exit towards the hospital so he pulled me over. Let me off with a warning after making sure my license wasn't expired.
