Information Systems pays very good in my area. You will get hired if you're a recent grad living in Northern Virginia. We have the #1 and #2 richest counties by median household income (Loudoun, Fairfax). When the recession was going on, you freakin couldn't tell around here since everyone was still getting that money. 6 of my friends just landed jobs IMMEDIATELY with mediocre graduating GPAs (2.0 - 2.9). A couple of them were recruiting by these firms before they graduated because there is still a dearth of talent in filling in positions. I guess it depends on where you live and your contacts. Remember to grind it out and cultivate your connections.

Ok let's be real...list how many billionaire CEOs were one-time med students? You can't think of any? I'm sure you can think of plenty of billionaire CEOs that were one-time engineering or comp sci majors. That list below will help if you need reference.

If you are familiar with the IT world, there's a running joke that engineering majors are not studying to do any engineering but are doing management training in college instead, hence why you see all of these multi-billion dollar tech, consulting, and defense corps have management that's filled with tons of engineering majors.
