Never for Nipsey, but if Dilla came back and drop an Instrumental album with just 18 joints with original artwork, limited 5000 copies at $100 a pop i would cop, AND i would buy 2 of them. One to bump, and the other to keep in the plastic. Some of yall letting the money blind yall, it aint een really bout all that. If that's ya dude like that, and u realllly want it, u would cough up the cash too. I mean, i still have my limits, but i make a C-Note in a couple hours, that aint nothin. Why u think connoisseurs willing to chuck up millions for a particular artists 'work' which might be nothing more than some crushed soda cans? You paying for the right to say you bought that ish at a generous price. It's not an easy thing to do...just flush 100 bucks down the toilet like that. It's the same concept with fashion, and niggas who spending 800 to collect L.E. J's and crap. It don't make sense to us, but the sneaker heads understand. There's most likely another buyer that will cop it from you just for the same right at maybe even a higher price than u paid. I never seen an artist do that with an album tho, so big ups to him for having the audacity. ANd the fact boys is buying it just seals it.

The art form side of me is saying this is a disgrace to charge a buck for a mixtape, especially for a low-key cat who's music really ain't that great. Someone's getting pimped here...just glad it ain't me.
However, the business side of me applauds this dude for cutting out the middle man making more off this album then he would've made sales-wise off of three albums.
So, I'm torn. Hey, he got his money. Good for him.
