there not even close..

outkast can out rap them and they have better songs...

Both dominated their respected lanes as a duo group.

`Kast with that soulful Southern sound, and the Mobb with the Gangster New York sound.

If the Mobb aint better duo then cast - they the closes.

Plus P would've gave Stacks a run for his money in the 90's . Just cause 3000 is a great artist, doesn't mean he can be a great battle artist.

Big Boi v. Havoc would've been coo too ... Big Boi got a slight edge lyrically, but Hav is definitely the better artist.

Both had 3 straight classics, and its hard to compare the two catalogues because they sound nothing alike....

Mobb Deep is nowhere near Outkast level. Lyrically, musically, all around.

P was considered at top 10 lyrcist in his Prime.

Havoc is a better producer then Big Boi and 3000

The comparison between the two isn't far fetched if you actually paid attention to both of their material

`spff .. why bother .. i never seen you write more then 3 sentence to prove a point.

What u said was ridiculous. Mobb Deep has never dominated anything. Their biggest achievement was having a song featured in 8 mile, whilst outkast has a diamond album. Thats 4 sentences for u.

I don't know. Mobb Deep always been overrated to me mainly because Prodigy don't even be rhyming, and Havoc ain't shit lyrically. His production straight though. Plus they so one dimensional. Outkast on the other hand are the perfect group. Lyrically them niggas are Top 5 worthy. They makes music for everybody all across the globe, and they do it all while still being two country niggas from Georgia. That's one thing I've always applauded Outkast for. They have done it all, been everywhere, and touched people of all backgrounds, yet never stepped out of their Georgia skin to be Popstars, and still went Diamond.

Yep.

White folks love Outkast and so do hip hop heads.

Just cuz something isnt hot or buzzing doesnt mean people dont care about it.

Thats why Sade can drop an album with no promo after a decade long break and go Gold.

Thats why the Rolling Stones can tour for the rest of their lives without a new hit single.

Its the reason why Detox will go Platinum even though it sounds like its gonna be garbage.

I think the whole "one dimensional" thing doesn't give justice to artist sticking to what works best for them.
The Infamous didn't come out intended to be revolutionary like Playerlistic - but it was still a classic album.
You cant take that good music from them.

At the end of the day, overall Success, Outkast is >>>>>>

But real talk .. if you actually compare the 4 to each other - its a lot closer then it seems.
But thats just me...

oh the ironing...

I haven't said anything overly irrelevant or biased.

Sayin that Mobb Deep was only known for 8 mile is flat out dumb.

You can compare Mobb Deeps 90's catalogue with Nas and Jay's catalogue.

I think OutKast can go plat if the music is still crazy and catchy, because OutKast has something that most Black rappers don't...They've secured the mainstream White audience a la Eminem. Em did 3x Platinum with Recovery and that was only a decent album with modest yet BIG pop/crossover singles. If OutKast album actually has big records and 2-3 strong videos, they can go platinum under those circumstances.

Remember when Stankonia dropped, nobody was really thinkin' about them and they came out left field with "Rosa Parks" and nigga's went nuts. Same happened with Speakerboxxx/LoveBelow. Rumors spread that they weren't cool anymore and they were doing seperate albums on a double disk. before any single popped off, them nigga's were counted out, nobody was checkin' for OutKast, then "Hey Ya" came out and nigga's for a second thought Andre 3K lost his damn mind, but them White folks was co-signing the shit out of that song so niggas was like ok, they got a little buzz off that, but what is Big Boi gone do..."I Like The Way U Move" and 6 million sold...NO HYPE, NO BUZZ...PURE MUSIC ALONE DID THAT.

Don't even get me started on when that nigga Andre 3K came back off "Hey Ya" with "Roses"...That shit was a rap and they still fuckin' with they manager, Blu...If you know anything about Blu then you know he ain't lettin' the album flop under no circumstances, he's 100% Dungeon Fam 'til the death!

Prediction:
Album will have Goodie Mob, Cee-Lo (with Andre WOW), Sleepy Brown, Bun B, Janelle Monet, Chrisette Michelle, Rick Ross, Kanye West

Platinum, mark my words, I see the White people in best buy right now!

Mobb Deep ain't never dominated SHIT, not even in they're hood because NaS stole their shine even tho their music sounds better, NaS piggy backed their success into his own and closed the door on niggas, lol.

No, they both made their own lanes and have their own fanbases. Nas i too skilled to piggyback off anyone. Illmatic anyone?

They closed the door on themselves signing to gay-unit

And having the nerve to act like adults doing songs with 112

To stick to the topic outkast could still have a plat album because they have a fanbase. the south would support whatever they came out with and they would actually make quality music...no matter what demographic they tried to appeal to...
