Niggas Really Think Outkast Can Still Go Plat?

You REALLY think Em & Jay sell based off how much NIGGA'S feelin' them? Hell naw, that's why they abandoned the streets and moved on to bigger and better audiences, they got their co-sign and got the fuck on to the MONEY. OutKast is no different, they made hot street shit at first and got co-sign but then them niggas started questioning Andre's moves so they was like "Nigga, we on, fuck the hood" and I feel them, I love the grimey truth of the street but I doubt if Gucci Mane dies rich unless he dies SOON.

No, they both made their own lanes and have their own fanbases. Nas i too skilled to piggyback off anyone. Illmatic anyone?

They closed the door on themselves signing to gay-unit
Hell nah, where were they before they signed to G-Unit? Stuck like Chuck. They have put out some of their best music in years with G-Unit, it's just the negative connotation associated with 50 Cent that fucked them up. 50 doesn't control them, he gives them opportunity to grow their fan base, 50 came up on Mobb Deep, how can he control their music? Hav and P ain't complainin' about Fif.

Mobb Deep ain't never dominated SHIT, not even in they're hood because NaS stole their shine even tho their music sounds better, NaS piggy backed their success into his own and closed the door on niggas, lol.

The infamous, Hell on earth, and Murda musik are classics. And i was old enough to know everyone rocked their music...Niggas are just in denial now

They just rubbed their audience the wrong way with infamy, but if niggas listened, theres alot worse out now compared then...They just had to follow up a great album which even great MCs have had a hard time doing....

If niggas wasnt feeling them they wouldnt sell. That, and their labels know they are cash cows, so they would actually get more marketing dollars. People only questioned andre due to the different direction he experimented with, but 100 percent of hip hop purists know he can spit....he just dont put out shit....He straight went lauryn hill on niggas.....

Whoa whoa, hold your horses. I didn't say they don't have classics, I'm not delusional. What I'm saying is that they have never dominated in hip hop, when they were puttin' out classics it was the time of Bad Boy, Death Row, Tommy Boy, Suave House, No Limit, Cash Money, Def Jam, Elektra etc. LOUD records ain't never dominated, they had good shit, classics, but nobody ever got "Shook" about puttin' their album out against Mobb Deep, nigga's were'nt hurtin' the game...EVER

Nigga's ain't feelin' them tho, what do u mean, I feel their music, but that's because I'm not a ignorant nigga, I'm educated and can talk about real issues and so can those artists, but a real NIGGA is not bangin' no OutKast, Em or newer Jay-Z shit, it's all about Gucci, Waka, Weezy & Ross right now for NIGGA'S and if you talkin' on some Thug Nigga shyt then nigga's is bangin' 90's gangsta shit. Beanie Siegel, Too $hort, 2Pac etc. they not listenin' to too much Mobb, not that they shit ain't bang on that level, but them nigga's weren't ever really THAT popular.

Loud had a solid ass roster, but when you put it that way, i agree..But thats only due to the money the labels were putting behind the projects.....if they wouldve signed to a def jam it might a different story....

A REAL Outkast album like Stankonia would go plat

Now, a Idlewild type of thing would flop

I agree with this.....and white people only know the Outkast brand.....they prolly don't even know the two MCs individually lol.

:confused:Really? Really? Stop it. If big boi only sold 175,000 of sir lucious left foot since last july, Do Yall really think andre 3000 goin add 700,000 + sales. Hell No, Aint nobody checking for that nigga like that

How does Big Boi's solo sales reflect OutKast's sales as a whole? For example, the individual members of Bone Thugs N Harmony never matched the success of the group. Outside of Krayzie (who had a platinum double LP), nothing sold as well as the group albums.

Bottom line people want an OutKast album more than any solo project that the two of them can create.

I think OutKast can go plat if the music is still crazy and catchy, because OutKast has something that most Black rappers don't...They've secured the mainstream White audience a la Eminem. Em did 3x Platinum with Recovery and that was only a decent album with modest yet BIG pop/crossover singles. If OutKast album actually has big records and 2-3 strong videos, they can go platinum under those circumstances.

Remember when Stankonia dropped, nobody was really thinkin' about them and they came out left field with "Rosa Parks" and nigga's went nuts. Same happened with Speakerboxxx/LoveBelow. Rumors spread that they weren't cool anymore and they were doing seperate albums on a double disk. before any single popped off, them nigga's were counted out, nobody was checkin' for OutKast, then "Hey Ya" came out and nigga's for a second thought Andre 3K lost his damn mind, but them White folks was co-signing the shit out of that song so niggas was like ok, they got a little buzz off that, but what is Big Boi gone do..."I Like The Way U Move" and 6 million sold...NO HYPE, NO BUZZ...PURE MUSIC ALONE DID THAT.

Don't even get me started on when that nigga Andre 3K came back off "Hey Ya" with "Roses"...That shit was a rap and they still fuckin' with they manager, Blu...If you know anything about Blu then you know he ain't lettin' the album flop under no circumstances, he's 100% Dungeon Fam 'til the death!

Prediction:

Album will have Goodie Mob, Cee-Lo (with Andre WOW), Sleepy Brown, Bun B, Janelle Monet, Chrisette Michelle, Rick Ross, Kanye West

Platinum, mark my words, I see the White people in best buy right now!

Cuh............ "Rosa Parks" was on AQUEMINI. You know, the album b4 Stankonia.

He'd rather be a "comet" by far, rah! *waits and sees does anyone get this*

Mobb Deep is nowhere near Outkast level. Lyrically, musically, all around.

Co-signature............

What u said was ridiculous. Mobb Deep has never dominated anything. Their biggest achievement was having a song featured in 8 mile, whilst outkast has a diamond album. Thats 4 sentences for u.

Bruh, u cool, but the bolded is just silly.

another smh at mobb deep and outkast impact being even with each other. every outkast album in multi plat, they were ranked one of vh1's greatest artist (not hip hop artist, but music artist). they have a diamond album, everything about them was diffrent from the sound of there music to they way they dreesed. everybody knows outkast. mobb deep is mostly known for being dissed by 2pac

YES!!!

as solo acts at this point people will say ok, thats pretty cool but not exactly estatic about it, but OUTKAST together thats different dudes built there audience since 1994! they could do those type of numbers they have an audience that is so huge over so many years that havent forgot them
