Single Succes Does Not Equal Album Success. (Nelly, Soulja Boy, Flocka)

I'm aware. Outkast is one of those groups that people have connected with because of the music they made. They're at a level where people are willing to invest in them even if they put out a whack product. I don't think Nelly, Soulja Boy, or Waka Flocka ever made music like that. In my opinion (again, just my opinion), the people you mentioned make disposable/just for a party music.

Outkast has had a history of making deep, meaningful music and releasing classic and near classic albums.

Kingdom Come was ass and it sold. Relapse was ass and it sold. Outkast will drop a quality product that will sell. Certain artists have just established such a large and loyal fan base that sales are inevitable.

You reaching hard, why did big boi sell so few then?

For one Hip Hop fans dont buy alot of records . Secondly alot of Hip Hop fans are fickle and look at Big Boi as the other nigga in Outkast ( which is sad ) and once u are in a group its hard for fans Hip Hop fans especially respect you or support your music outside of the group setting .

Outkast IS NOT on the level of Wayne,Em,Jay,Ye, or even Drake right now. You living in the past

Waka Flocka Connects With People Too. What You Saying?

Lol Flocka? Come on man, even you have to admit this is a stretch. Even if we go with this, Outkast came out in 1994, have one of the more impressive catalogues in hip hop and a a huge, diverse fan base. You can't seriously put Waka in the same conversation as them. Im not saying they're gonna do 2002 numbers. But if you don't think there'd be as much interest in an outkast album as in these so-so TI and Wayne records that do numbers, you might be wrong

they're not "hot" @ the moment, but they're quality. across most genres there's ALWAYS room for a group with that impressive of a catalog. and, as was stated earlier, Outkast isn't just a hip-hop group.

I aint read these posts yet. with that said, Outkast is one of those groups that re-invent theirselves each time out. each album is better than the last. am i correct? They just might hit it out the ballpark again. Im looking forward to it.

You're lucky if you go gold in today's world. Did Eminem or Jay even go plat with their last projects? If so then Outkast can surely go plat as well. White people love Outkast, & if white people fuck with you, you're gonna sell. & even if they couldn't go plat, they could go gold easy.
