Jay-Z and Amil were fucking, and that was his artist. Most artists Jay put on where either childhood friends, one of his boy's boys, or one of Dame's people. Jay-Z went out of his way to get Nicki on a Robin Thicke song, go to her performances, and bring her to Madison Square Garden to perform. She is not his artist, he cannot sign her, he is gaining nothing from this.
