Them is some true New Orleans pioneers. Cats like Soulja Slim got their start with bounce. Good post.

Pimp Daddy was cold too

but i'm feeling the first song in the original post so i'll definitely check the rest out

T.T. Tucker from the St. Thomas unofficially founded bounce in '92, but Mannie Fresh and DJ Irv had a single in the late 80's called "Buck Jump Time" that was really the first of it's kind.

Dope thread. Somebody stole my Red Bean Records compilation in 1999 and I have been looking for it since. No luck.

I got that compilation. If you really want it, let me know.

I'ma have to make a link for it. I got you though.

I'm actually in the process of hooking up one of my boys from out of state. He got an external hard drive and he is shipping it to me and I'ma put all my music on there for him then ship it back. I got beaucoup music esp. from New Orleans.

UNLV is probably one of my favorite groups. I used to idolize these dudes. Not to throw it out there like that but they were our own NWA just from the raps they was kicking and how street they were but still had that New Orleans Bounce. Mannie Fresh matured over the years from their first album to last. If you don't anything about Cash Money before B.G., Juve, Wayne, Turk and the Hoy Boys, then UNLV is the group to know. These are some of my favorite tracks from them. Anyone can add on to it.

6th & Baronne

Another Bitch

Eddie Bow

Get Into It With A Nigga

Mannie Fresh Mix (On old Cash Money albums, Mannie used to have a a track on each album where he did mixes. So fuckin cold)
