For those looking for the subtle Jay-Z shot..

So I could never hate though...

How the game turn into the Drake Show..'

so he responds with art related bars he dissed jay for in the first place?

jay verse was so much more than a diss. we discuss that in the other thread. mrs drizzy is not subliminal...drake need a new angle to come at jay. he cant use the i got the game on lock...imma boss and niggas will ride for me path. he cant talk about money or signing deals. not gonna end good for drake

IT'S SO GOOD!

I like the song.. Drake nice to me..

@sion @aneed123‌

Sion im not even readin your titangraphs bro, so if you backtracked somewhere in there,my bad

But yall act like simply 'sending shots' is grounds for getting credit. What about the qualty of the shot? Plus, Drake has been 'sending shots' at Jay z for years. Fair enough. Those were clever b/c there was no beef, no pressure, n Jay woulda looked small if he replied to empty submiminals.

But here's the difference: The FIRST time Drake specifically dropped Jay's name, 2 weks later homeboy DEADED that LOL SMH *Pusha T yuck* So the lesson is, when the shyt hits the fan...when the shyt hits the fan brother, you GO IN!.

I.e. Jay threw lil shots at Game, then when it came time he dropped Dear Summer and DEADED that.

i.e. all them shots at Nas over the years, then when time came n names were dropped, he dropped Takeover

Drake's dumb ass is trying to use Jay's playbook, but he's mising pages. When your name is called out by a top guy, you GO IN. You dnt fukin send more 'shots'. Light ones at that smh Fuck boy with good music=Drake.

Those super light counter jabs and subliminals aren't going to cut it.

He was spitting but it was overall underwhelming in comparison to the entire We Made it Remix. Both verses.

When Jay fucking Z calls you out by NAME, you do no respond with some lightwork slick shit like this.

And he is not in the position of power right now at all for him to take this "I'm the man" route. When Jay did it, it was because the gap between he and second was already extremely wide. Drake has Kendrick right on his ass as of that grammy performance. He needs to do more then just flex.

This beat choice was horrible.

The shit was light on substance.

He had little to no charisma.

Flow was on point, but lyrically and technically he wasn't there with both Jays.

its not that serious

lol@niggas trying to convince themselves "he can rap"...

all these compliments seem forced... "gotta admit, he got skills... but..."

its ok to not like the shit guys...

That could also be read as forced hatred to not just admit the nigga can rap you just personally don't like the music he makes. Same as some niggas say about other rappers.

So yall really think Jay's verse was better? lol

It was...Drake's freestyle is nice, but Jay's verse was just overall better. That don't mean one got to be trash, just means Jay out rapped the nigga

Jay has done it for most of his career and the irony is “Its like when a nigga make subliminal records/If it ain’t directed directly at me, I don’t respect it" and then he goes on to send sublimes the rest of his career.

i say that shit cause of what happened during his time as the decision maker over at def jam.

this is literally all his fucking fault.

if drake wins, that will be a direct result of the decisions he made as prez.

How so?

alllllllllll them niggas was making bad music and needed their shit pushed back, left unreleased or not promoted at all?

all of them?

word?

nigga changed the entire infrastructure of hip hop and you gon say how so?

WOOORRRD?!?!

No nigga...how does Jay pushing back a nigga's album years ago lead to Drake possibly "winning" today? Jay ain't change the infrastructure of hip-hop...It changed with the music industry and the internet becoming the go to place to get music.

thing is tho, with most of these "subliminal" records the rapper makes it obvious who he's talking about

"hides behind 8 mile and the chronic, gets rich but dies rhyming" - nas taking shots at 50

"with 12 monkeys on the stage it's hard to see who's the guerrilla

you was better as a drug dealer" - common talking about 50 most likely

we knew commons sweet was about drake

we knew drake's stay scheming verse was about common

wayne threatening to kidnap Beyoncé over jay's "baby money" line

I can go on and on

meanwhile we have rappers calling out how these other niggas rap, dress, act etc yet we see them doing songs with the same rappers their bars could've been directed at, leaving their bars up in the air

those are true subliminals imo

I take Jay's original stance on sublimes, if the shit aint directed directly at the nigga /name names , I dont respect that shit. All those Biggie tracks that were supposedly about Pac dont even count as diss records in my book. Nas had already made a full song about 50 at that point when he made that sublime. If you gonna diss the nigga then DISS the nigga.

"Thats why I fucked your bitch you fat motherfucka" , Ive grown to respect Pac's disses more as time passes.
