Word, I bought this book a short while ago... it's probably the best book I've read on Hip-Hop

It's very, very well researched and is almost entirely in the words of the MCs, so there is no academic dude trying to bore you with politics and stuff, just MCs talking about MCing for a change

Hopefully some more books will come out like this, with lots of input from the actual artists

Word, though I guess it's better that people learn from the dudes in this book, like Clipse, Kool G Rap, Crooked I, Royce Da 5'9", Big Daddy Kane, Pharoahe Monch, etc. - rather than try to listen to whichever one-hit wonder is on the radio and try to copy that dude, because that seems to be how people are learning to rap nowadays, just copying someone who is wack on the radio instead of listening to the real MCs
