Think of how fortunate some of these owners are to generate profit just because they have a Kobe type player on their team...and ill maintain that wnning isn't nearly as important to them as the profit itself....Cleveland made a killing off LeBron n they never won n I doubt the owner cared as long as he was caking....then u consider the people the owners hire to work for them and making good money just cause they got LeBron on the team...if money is rolling in, how much work do these people really have to put in?? Not much imo but I could be wrong...
all it boils down to is some owners are pissed and want to stop great players from teaming together cause for that to happen, a great player will have to leave a shitty team which in turn makes them even shittier which decreases profit....but the players themselves just want to win...I think the few bad apples in the league who took money over success puts the players as a whole in a bad light..
Then u gotta consider the players who feel that their owners didn't do enough to put the right amount of talent around them in the first place...to those players, it prolly seems like the owners were just fine collecting checks at the expense of their franchise player but that's another discussion
