league minimum is 412k a year the avg salary i think its 5 mill, these guys making millions to work 7-8 months a year, what most players make in 1 quarter most of us make in a year. They need to take the deal and play its not like these guys are taking that much of a hit

The owners are claiming they arent making money. In fact, they are saying on a whole they are LOSING 100s of millions a year. The union/players are saying that the figures are not completely accurate. This is why the CBA is so important to both sides.

Oh I'm not disagreeing with you. Just wondering if you understood what the dynamics are here. The owners are trying to fuck over the players as much as possible because they arent making as much as they used to. I think they are cooking the books to make shit look worse so they can say 'look we're already losing money so we cant give you any more'. The players are calling bullshit on the owners, but the owners have the upper hand. It seems the players are going to call their bluff, but the only result at this point that I can foresee is everyone losing with the players losing the most.

What I think needs to happen is an independent audit of all franchises since the last CBA to see just how much is being lost here. Problem is that will take a hell of a long time and it may not turn out for the best but at least more of the truth will come out.
