"Your word was everything, So everything you said you'd do

You did it, Couldn't talk about it if you ain't lived it"

Hmm something don't add up

"Nigga, you ain't live it

you witnessed it from your folks pad

You scribbled in your notepad and created your life"

nas the homie and all but how you gon say the realness dead but then cash in on collabing with plastic artists like he has done in the past 2 to 3 years. hip hop lost realness but you collabing with nikki coonaj. all he had to do was smash and keep it moving. he ain't have to spit his bars and cash in if the "realness" is what hes repping.

he aint wrong

Nas is right, the essence has been lost. This is big business now. It used to be about the people & the music, movin the crowd. Now the shit just narcissistic attention seeking. The fire's gone out.

At the same time he out making records with Rick Ross and Nicki Minaj

and just last year he was saying he's happy with hip hop and thats its not dead

make up your mind

I agree everybody coming in the game talking bout how much weight they pushed and the way they talk, u would think they were Big Time Pushers, that's why I like Kendrick u don't hear him talking bout he was gang banger or a slinger; there is little to no uniqueness in Hip Hop.

I hate when they ask him what's he listening to nowadays and he'll say some shit like Plies and Drake, Nas the goat but practice what you preach
