Yeah Metacritic is slow.

I would suggest that all you audiophiles get the vinyl version so you can truly appreciate the warmth of the souds and how well the beats mix with the lyrics, the CD is cool a downgrade from vinyl but if you downloaded the bootleg from online then you got a watered-down version of a Dope album.

Either way you gonna have to purchase this to get the best quality version.

On "Stay" I can hear the sincerity and sadness in his voice like on God's Son.

I ordered my vinyl last week. When do you think it will be delivered?

Don't laugh but I won't get mine until around August 15-18 but I got the other formats to hold me down until then.

Yooo I hope it sounds better than it does on youtube.... the production ain't what yall makin it out to be if it aint....

he rappin his ass off tho.

You know youtube tracks play at like 96kbps most of the time right? I mean, even if you have some BEATS or KLIPSCH headphones, you're not going to hear the quality of the music there.

You are much better off playing either:

A. The physical CD in your whip (CDQ is where its at, but almost impossible to get from YouTube vids).

or

B. Listening through some quality heaphones with MP3's that are running at AT LEAST 192kbps.

Trust me when I say, YouTube does quality music NO JUSTICE due to YouTube's compression formatting.

I personally have some Sol Republic Tracks HD headphones on my ears, and this shit sounds amazing! Especially the epic tracks with complex layering like No Introduction, A Queens Story, and World's An Addiction...

Dope, I like toads better but frogs are cool too, you can never have enough pets.

Nas’ new Def Jam/IDJ album, Life is Good, is his 10th in an impressive career dating back to ‘94’s now iconic Illmatic. It should debut at #1 on next week’s HITS Album sales chart with between 115-125k in sales, according to one-day sales figures provided by those music retailers who are still creating jobs, according to President Obama.

The quintessential N.Y. rapper’s last album, Untitled, debuted in July four years ago with 187k in first-week sales.

I got to know of Untitled dropping when I saw it on the back cover of a now defunct HipHop magazine, a very good one at that ..

There was hardly promo 'cos of the album title. LOL

the album is projected to sell about 125k in its first week.

It's a shame cos it most definitely deserves more... It's the first album I bought since forever. I'm loathe to throw the word classic around but after been the only set of songs in my rotation ever since it leaked, I'm fairly confident its on the level of Stillmatic and will stand the test of time. Its on another level compared to 99% of releases since his last album especially lyrically.

Nas' catalog is the most rich of any artist in hip-hop. Where that puts him on the all time list is for y'all to decide.

I purposefully stayed away from this thread until I bought the album and heard it for myself.

This joint smoke. I'll post my album review in the reviewing thread, but finally he found the right combo of concepts, production, and guests.

The biggest debate here I think will be whether this will be #2 or 3 (depending on where you rank IWW) on his catalogue when it's all over. But, it's up there.
