They're trying hard but their brains can't process the lyrics so their brains is just overheating and shutting down. Hence their sleepiness.

This album is like coon repellent; there was some wanksta type clowns at the car-wash about to jump on some school-kid and when I turned the music up real loud they started staring at me with this blank look in their eyes....the schoolkid grabbed his back-pack and took off runnin' and the coons were still standing their like zombies scratching their heads....

....I drove back by an hour later and there was a crowd and an ambulance...dont know what happened.

haven't heard the album yet. Only "My Generation" so no quotables yet.

Is that Roy Jones Jr in your avatar? I used to wish I could box like him. haha. Then I realized I would get knocked out by putting one hand behind my back while fighting. He's a legend

Can't wait for the solo effort from Nasir...

Hopefully he drops it late in the year...

Q-Tip is Executive Producing... that alone is just genius

I've been listening to "Distant Relatives" for a couple of days now and I'm convinced Nas is as sharp as ever...

I will say that you must have at least an 8th grade education and some culture or most of this will go over your head and too much information at once could make some of you pass out.

I will add more when they come to mind

"The master, the masses, one has power the other one lacks it

guns are power, controlled by asset's, owned by financial forecasters

who are the masters, they are the gangsters, they are the bankers the one's that tax us

the masses they are us, the sheep, the people, divided in classes"

"Dispear" ^^^^(Wacka Floka flame said what...)

"They appeal to the conscious, the Paramount, the Ceasar the monsters,

the grandiose, the martyrs, the hell-on-earth pauper's

Elsworth "Bumpy" Johnson's, the Harlemite's, the Garveyite's

Black is the credit-card we swipe, poppin Dom' tonight-

-for all of mine I can see my self back at the Audubon

Malcolm on the podium shells hit the linoleum

-swipe those, place 'em on display at the Smithsonian

next to only gems that were left behind by holy men......"

"Leaders" ^^^^ (those 4 bars alone are worth Gucci Manes career)

"Some ask me if I feel the Zionist's are real

and in my songs do I plan to expose and reveal

word to the curb thats under these chrome wheel's

my homie's is the only ones I'm taking care of

but severe reality starts to become more clear

and these know-it-all rappers try to come all weird

like they are superior and fans are inferior

and how I balance the streets and the theories of-

-Collegiate literature, I hold mirrors up

give combinatins of pain, joy, fear and love

through my perspective I can see Jah reflection

in the highest definition gettin' high with my brethren

better ask 'em why Africans are dying from circumcision

they lack proper surgeons suffer from malnutrition

underestimate the wealth of their own wisdom

its like its been exchanged for this penicillin"

"In his own words" ^^^^ (those 16 bars are worth the lives of 6 wiggers & 9 wanksta's)

Crazy story, for real. It's like the knowledge is trying to be awakened within but they've been hypnotized by gangster fables and euro-centrism for too long.

niggas trippin saying that shit is worth Gucci whole career and shit.
foh
I wanted to say Gucci's whole existence but then I forgot that he was the first rapper with the coontastic ability to put an actual chicken on a mixtape cover....we need people like him so we can point our finger and say "Thats a coon".

Im surprised someone hasn't taken your generalized statements about "gangsta-fables" and "eurocenttrism' as a personal insult....... oops spoke to soon.

You guessed he was talking about you personally? We dont look to entertainers for "knowledge" either but when we find it its a bonus....

Let me know when you do go looking for knowledge because I doubt you would recognize it.....

hrap, i see you schoolin em again.

Nas was dropping more jewels on this one. He's doing the theme justice. I thought he was gonna stop being deep after Untitled.

"Was it the mind of CIA that bumped off Malik Shabazz?/ fuck what they teach in class I'mma reach the mass" -Nas.

The black oasis, Ancient Africa the sacred

The sleeping giant, science, art is your creation

I dreamed that we could visit old Kemet

Your history is too complex and rigid for some Western critics

They want the whole subject diminished

But Africa's the origin of all the world's religions

We praise bridges that carried us over

The battle fronts of Sudanic soldiers, the task put before us

I didnt even touch "Africa must wake up"..thats a thread all to itself.

that line you added-on is serious, go check out the writings of Manning Marable on the topic of Malik Shabazz...most people dont know about Gene Roberts so they just regurgitate verbatim what they here in the media....

But yeah Nas been headed towards Africa every since "Stillmatic"...."I open every cell in Attica send 'em to Afrika", just look at the movie "Belly".

Its just amazing to see the evolution of an artist and a Black man re-tracing the tracks we left in the sand of history...we went from pyramids to projects and Nas has artistically gone from projects to pyramids...I know that shit is lost on 85% but im glad you see it through the same lenses I do.
