Nas has pretty much converted to an underground MC...not a bad move considering flagging mainstream interest, now at least the people paying attention to him are more likely to be real fans. I think Nas knows this, why else would he abandon the pop material and rail against Def Jam for trying to force pop music on him? He knows he doesn't need a fucking radio hit at this point to keep his fanbase, just good albums.
