My wife put a hyphen in her name, addresses all her personal business using her maiden name. Don't even wear the ring or the wedding band.

Marriage is more than that stuff

In fact only time she really put it out there like that is if I'm wit her and a bitch try to play her like we just together or some shit..

That's when she quick to go..."well..my husband and I"

my last name is mine

her last name is hers

no need for changing shit, marriage is marriage

although, my kids do carry my last name.. that was a for sure thing we both understood they needed to carry on

She can keep her last name... Ima keep mine.

My last name will be applied to our unborns because my last name goes the hardest.

not even up for debate.

lunch nigga game is strong

being that my last name aint even really my family's lineage, i aint gon be getting upset about my spouse wanting to keep her name thats not really hers either

lets talk about these bills tho

that shit matters

Hyphen? We ain't gettin married.

Won't take my last name? We ain't gettin married.

Want the kids to have your last name? We ain't gettin married.

Won't wear the ring? We ain't gettin married.

Want me to take your last name like a bitch? We ain't gettin married and I'mma kick you out the car while it's moving.

And I ain't budging on any of that shit. It ain't up for debate, discussion, or anything. I ain't with this feminist version of marriage.

Not wearing a ring

Good one

My dad has lost his wedding ring 2 times and my step mom never cared

She said the ring doesn't make the marriage good or bad and it's up to my dad to replace it

Which he promptly did both times

Fuck the last name, I'm more interested in keeping my money.

In other words, if she take it, doesn't take it, I'm cool. I'm not cool tho if she walks away with half or more of my shit.

Side note: If she frontin' like she a traditional chick, like not wanting to work and stay home and raise kids whatever and promoting all those other gender roles, then she should be down with taking dude's last name too.

Why ?

My son has his dads last name because we were going to get married

That didn't happen but recently my son said he wanted to change it to mine because it sounds cooler

It's up to him since he is an adult now

I'm indifferent about whether I keep my last name or change it.

Only reason I flat out wouldn't change my name is if it was something really ethnic and my husband's last name is basic. And if that's the case then the kids are also gonna have my last name Latino style.
