No but you have to maintain a happy home... Your ex is now your acquaintance... But you have to choose what is more important... Your "friends" or your woman. Everyone is not built the same. There are some women that won't mind your relationship with your old woman but your woman doesn't. And really in 10 years what is your ex gonna do for you? But you could potentially be with your life partner. If your ex is a real friend then she'll understand and won't want to put you in a situation that could ruin your relationship. Cuz at the end of the day if you and your girl break up... What is your ex gonna do for you but be a booty call... You will probably never trust her again on a relationship lvl.

I'm still cool with my ex, but things between me and her have changed a lot. We talk from time to time, but we don't hang out or shit like that. I may call to check on her and her kids, but she knows that my main focus is the relationship that I'm in now, and there's no chance of me and my ex getting back together. She knows that.
