Dope album, prolly his best overall album, dont think he can match the production of Late Registration or the freshness of College Dropout (still my fav to listen to, especially last call) but i bump a few songs still

I thought the IC kinda overreacted to this album. Even thou he's gotten better with worldplay than he use to be, top bottom as far as overall musically...College drop out is still his best shit by a mile. Classic? The all of my life song shoulda knocked it down to 4 1/2 alone. It was better than that Lloyd Banks shit but it wasn't the best album I bought last year. It was ok, I mean don't get me wrong it wasn't wack, but I was tripping at how yall niggas was actin like this shit was the best shit ever heard. I don't think it should be up there with illmatic, Stillmatic, Doggystyle, Blueprint, 7 day theory, or either of the chronics

nope cause you aint a kanye fan, obviously.

Ignore him, he's a Young Money stan who still doesnt realize you can just write whatever you want in a sig instead of having to type it out over and over as a lame gimmick

MBDTF is a classic, i got friends who hate hip hop and kanye and still like this album

i can see a bubble gum rap fan or a butthurt faggot hating on this tho

Kanye>>>

The irony is...that this whole album is bubble gum rap.

I could even concede near classic status with the production. But lyrically--little replay value.

my point being a lot of people praised the album for its production value and its sound and i can't accredit that solely to ye

Biggie didn't produce Life After Death

Nas didn't produce Illmatic

Jay-Z didn't produce Blueprint

Tupac didn't produce All Eyes On Me

I guess that means those albums aren't as good as people say, right?

A modern day classic without a doubt IMO... That album is pure genius and distinguishes Kanye and his level of artistry and everyone else in rap music

of course its a classic...musically no hip hop album is even close...banger after banger...only reason some arent calling it a classic is cause we're holding it up to kanye's standards...which are extremely high

I've been listening to kanye heavy for the past few weeks...i gotta say MBDTF is my least favorite kanye album (I haven't listened to 808s)

College dropout is waaaaay more of a classic than this...It was just too raw and had that straight hungry passion in it plus the production was extra soulful. Now THAT was a classic...

MBDTF is a solid album don't get me wrong..but like others said it was kinda over produced and had too many features.

Late Registration has way more of a reasonable claim to classic status than this.
