I live in Hoover a suburb outside of Birmingham. I moved here for a job at the beginning or this year from Savannah ,Ga. For me it was an easy decision because this where my family is from. The only positives I can think of is that cost of living is going to be a lot cheaper and Atlanta is roughly a little less than two hours away. Overall for me it's not that bad, but I would just say make sure you find you a place south of Bham.

Compared to Vegas, there isn't really a whole lot going on, but it all depends on what you make out of it and what you are looking to do if you decide to take the job.
