Yes, which means NYC heard it. But to hear you tell it, no one in NYC heard anything out of the "hick-towns" of cali. Anyway you aren't even from NYC, so your view of what was listened to is based on Doo Wop tapes. If Hammer wasn't on a doo wop tape then no one heard him in ny. So tell me, why did 3rd base diss hammer? How did they even know about him? You act like MTV/BET/The Box weren't a HUGE factor as well. Did Doo Wop have a music video? I don't think so.

Whatever man. You sound jealous. Dont come in here acting like your Jeru tha Damager was killing Pac and Dre in sales. Wtf nigga
Diddy been around since 92 n it don't matter when he started rapping. , x dropped his debut in 98 after big n pac and whatever tupac came out in 96 it don't matter, he was a weak mind. He went to jail then thought he was tough for catching a sodomy case. Dog pound video got shot up in New York. Hatian jack put pressure on pac n it he couldn't handle it. Tupac snitched on camera numerous times to save his career. If hit em up was so viscous why sidnt make New Yorkers or bigs ppl look at him funny after that? Especially after not responding by name? Bc pac wasn't respected like that which why those two classics in 96 you speak of , in 96 nobody playin that shit everywhere, New York ? Biggie? Was doing shows in sacremento in 96, the times Deathrow made appearances on New York platforms for the east to see , nobody knew them. Pac said it also, if the air waves are consumed with the bevy of local ny talent that actually prospered ( Jay , nas, fugees, mobb, wu...) unlike the west coast bc the west love to name all these niggas but none of em actually prospered.

The fact of the matter is that Pac got physically run out of New York and tried to "Clap Back" through song and dance. He ran his mouth, aligned himself with gangbangers (hustling backwards) crossed the wrong people, made enemies and got himself killed.
All of that shit could have been avoided if he took Biggies advice and stayed away from those grimy dudes that Big told him to stay away from.
As far as the actual beef, New York won and that's absolutely indisputable. The sheer quantity of music that came out of New York made California look like a hick town with one label. The quality is subjective but Death Row only released seven albums in 5 years while New York released HUNDREDS of albums and THOUSANDS of mix tapes and proceeded to shut the game down with Life After Death, Ma$e, Puff Daddy & The Family, Jay-Z, Nas, Mobb Deep, DMX, Ja Rule, and 50 Cent. Out of everybody Pac dissed, besides Chino XL, they all had long successful careers and are still making records (Mobb Deep, Jay Z, Nas).
California looked like Ground Zero when the battle was over.
