None of the prospects traded were above AA Only one played AA ball for a month they were all single A cats and 2 of em were 26 and sam fuld sucked he was good for the highlight catches and hustle but he'll never be an everyday player and he's 29-30

Brett jackson cubs #1 prospect

Adam dunn is garbage he is the new millennium mark mcgwire except he strikes out 190-200 times a year and cant play D

Aramis will be a fa so he playin for his next contract all he care about is money so his #'s gonna increase just like the last time he was in a contract year

After this season 56-60 million off the payroll cubs can sign whoever they want next winter

If pena dont work then prince fielder is a fa

Cubs dont have dumb redundant piniella no more they got a real manager who does hit and runs and switches the lineup, they might not contend this year but 2012 we comin for that #1 spot

I don't see us signing or really even goin after Prince. We need to trade Fukudome if at all possible. Soriano needs to show why we signed him to that contract. Not gonna lie, I was all for signing him, but thats when I thought we be getting a threat with the bat and a threat on the bases, but dudes had leg problem since he got her

Why are you saying this?

Yea soriano aint done much since he came here but he's carried the cubs at times.Fukudome is good wit me if the cubs aint contending by july they'll trade him

If they are contending, his contract comin off regardless.Gotta be more optimistic man everything you sayin is gloom and doom

From what I read cubs gonna try to make major moves next winter and have prospects comin up this year.Castro, cashner and colvin were real nice plus jackson(probably this year) and vitters in the future

Cubs will be straight and I fully expect a world series appearance in 2012

I just dont see them going after Fielder. I think he's gonna want way more money than they'll be willing to pay. I also think he'll be traded and sign an extention with whoever trades for him

word @ AL East being far superior to the NL Central. If you can make it out there you can make it anywhere no NY. It could be interesting though. I think Tropicana Field is more pitcher friendly than Wrigley and he's going from a great defensive team to an ok defensive team

a big move had to be made anyway to justify the 3 percent increase for season ticket holders. But according to everybody is who is somebody say even though the prospects were ranked high, they gave away more volume than can't miss stars. The one the Cubs considered to really like was that Korean SS Lee, but Castro is proven to be the future at that position. So its nothing

smh @ TB fans. Even if Hellickson balls this year, he'll be gone

support your squad or make your own funeral arrangements

Delino DeShields Jr., the Astros' first pick in last summer's draft, was charged this morning with DUI, possession of Alcohol by a minor and a traffic violation in Georgia, according to the Houston Chronicle.

DeShields, 18, is the son of former major leaguer Delino Deshields, who will be the manager of Cincinnati's Class A Dayton (Ohio) farm team this year.

A couple of former Red Sox are reuniting in another American League East city.

The Tampa Bay Rays have agreed to one-year deals with free agents Johnny Damon and Manny Ramirez, sources confirmed to ESPN.com.

Damon agreed to a one-year deal worth $5.25 million plus incentives and Ramirez one year at $2 million, according to SI.com. Both deals are pending physicals.

Damon will likely play left field and Ramirez designated hitter.

The Los Angeles Angels, shut out in several bids to acquire free-agent hitters this winter, are on the verge of acquiring three-time All-Star Vernon Wells from the Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for catcher Mike Napoli and outfielder Juan Rivera, according to multiple reports.

pretty good move on tampas part and great move on la's part, altho i dont know much about napoli or rivera

Napoli- Great power potential, terrible avg. Sub par defense. His future is at DH. Has 40 HRs potential.

Rivera- LOL, former Yankee prospect.(long time ago) Decent power potential. Solid Defense. Hits for decent AVG, but nothing special.
