I enjoy a Kendrick Lamar song just as much as anybody else but you not about to sit here and tell me his verses on Mask Off or Goosebumps were worth a damn

Sometimes good rappers have bad verses. It happens.

Da verses aren't bad its just the way he flows doesn't match with the vibe of the song period. Mask off is a hype song abt kickin doors and doin drugs. The way kendrick came on totally takes u out of the moment

Which completely ruins the shit. Thanks for noticing.

Only tracks Dot really snap on is if he's featured on a TDE track.

I remember I heard his verse on goosebumps with Travis Scott. I immediately turned that shit off. Nobody can tell me that was a good verse.

Verse fit the song perfectly.

Sure, that don't mean it was good.

Started off good for like 20 seconds. Then he goes into some weird singing shit

"Put the pussy on pedestal, put the pussy on a high horse"

Off first I woulda been in the studio like who mans is this?

How you steal, Bone, Nelly, Domino and some random African's MC style all on the same track? Shit corny.

Lmfao bout to come and say he used every bone member style in the beginning of that shit personally liked it though. Attracts the old heads and has the young bucks thinking its some new shit and have them go back to listening to creepin on tha come up or Juvie, K Dot reppin for the heads

It was coo. Kdot is best on his own shit not really on features

Remember this when yall go talk about naming him in some kinda "GOAT" list ;)

Kendrick makes the song listenable outside of the club

So yeah his verse changes the vibe but how can it ruin a song that's not great

Future let's the beat do the work and basically stays out the way

Kendrick attacked it, now you got a song

You niggas gon end up on the wrong side of history

Wikipedia says Biggie had a guest verse on 31 songs before he died.

People don't salivate over EVERY single one but that don't stop y'all from calling him the GOAT. Jay Z made that horrible remix to "Ha" and he's one of the GOAT. Nas got some weak ones too. And Pac. And if you consider Eminem to be in the discussion of GOAT, look no further than Encore.

Everything always gotta be black and white with you niggas.

We kinda do. He died with not much work out there. Those guest appearances are revered cause their dope and he died. Supply & Demand...

Why we bringing up BIG in a K Dot thread tho...

Really? You revere every single Biggie guest verse?

I brought up alot of the GOATs, mainly cause I know that's what this thread is really about: the idea that Kendrick can't be considered one of the GOAT one day because of a couple of bad verses.

The real songs with BIG, not them made up shits with recycled verses...

The thread is about K Dot "Mask Off (Remix)" verse btw. Doesn't ruin it but definetly sounds out of place. Like Em on the "Lean Back (Remix)"...

Exactly.

This shit is tolerable to listen to in the club when you had a few drinks and you're talking to some dumb goofy bitch enjoying/dancing the music. But I'm not listening to the shit in my car, at home or in the gym.

I did not have one Future song on my iPod before Kendrick got on this. So yes, the song is now listenable outside of the club.

And years from now, people are going to look back at treat mumble music the same way people treat Vanilla Ice or The Village People. LOL! People are going to look back and be like "What the fuck were we doing in this era?" Dudes wearing Dresses ????? Rompers ????? You would get roasted back in the 90s for that shit.

So yall sayin kendrick fucked up on a song that was already trash to begin with? Lol. Only on the IC. Im in Cali aint heard one person say that they had a problem with the verse.

The song was fine on its on. It did its purpose which was to get the club crunk. Why dont u seem to understand that. Was u niggas complaining that hard when lil jon was makin music strictly for the club? Did nas need to jump on a ying yang twin song to make it good? Stop talkin outche ya ass b. Everything aint for every rapper. I don't expect gucci to rip any beat on forest hills drives nor do i expect kendrick to rip a 2chains beat. Niggas sound out of place and it shows
