So yeah his verse changes the vibe but how can it ruin a song that's not great

Everything aint for every rapper. I don't expect gucci to rip any beat on forest hills drives nor do i expect kendrick to rip a 2chains beat. Niggas sound out of place and it shows

In those days, there was more of a balance. But today, unless you're someone special like a Kendrick or J.Cole, the music will more than likely get pushed to the side for mediocre mumble rap.

And where's LIl Jon and Ying Yang Today? A lot of people are waiting and anticipating Nas' new album. Why? Because his work stands the test of time. Kendrick is in that same category now. 20 years from now, no one will give a damn about Future, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Yatchy ..

... and Lil Jon made songs with Nas, Jadakiss, Ice Cube, Fat Joe, and a lot of other rappers ... and these guest spots made the songs BETTER! Lil Jon knew no one wanted to hear him holler on a record for 1 hour - LOL!

Im not gonna hate em. If they make a song i like ill listen same with any artist period. Im not gonna deny a whole sub class of music just cuz its not lyrical and artistic. I can like Future and Kendrick nun wrong with that. Doesnt mean i wanna hear future do a remix to Alright and sound out of place on it. It took me a min ti realize this but there's a reason drake gets praised so much by mainstream cuz he literally can adapt to any song style. We call it biting but he didnt sound out of place on WATTBA or Kendrick's Poetic Justice. He just flows. Kendrick doesn't seem to know how to dumb it down or flow correctly on a future track

U wanna celebrate that he was lyrical and was on some deep thinker/braggin abt his rap skills shit good for u. But doesn't change the fact the song and beat was abt kickin doors/doing drugs and has a street vibe to it and kendrick didnt match that at all so it sounds out of place.

That's like the coach tellin everybody do a simple dunk and u da only one doin a fancy lay up. U don't get points for that u just look like u don't belong

But that doesn't mean Kendrick doesn't get played in the club. I've heard "Humble" "DNA" "Swimming Pools" and the first part of "M.A.A.D City" played in the club, bars and parties before.

Of course Kendrick wasn't going to rap about kicking down doors and drugs - never was that type of rapper. He has more interesting and better shit to talk about. But Future asked him to be on the remix and made the song enjoyable - lyrically. THIS IS FUTURE'S SONG, NOT KENDRICK'S - so blame Future for Kendrick being himself and not being a studio gangster.

Humble, D.N.A, Swimming Pools are all mainstream hits hell my homies play those songs cuz the beat knocks and swimming pools is catchy. But they not playin kendrick album. An ion blame future nor am i blaming kendrick his verse is cool i been said that. What im sayin is it doesn't fit on the song. It is possible to spit a good verse and it not fit the song by not stayin on beat and content not being the same.
