Tech n9 (who i do like) makes rap music...hip hop music, NOT THE CULTURE is what gets played on pop stations, and today's hotest hip-hop and R&B stations...there is a difference.

There's different types of rap/hiphop. It's a different sound more pop. I can't knock it I just don't listen to him.

The true hip hop sound has been diluted and washed out anyway. I wouldn't say I hear too many "hip hop" records nowadays. I hear a to of "rap" music though.

you want to know how this could happen??? its because his core audience is NOT the hiphop audience. to be honest i heard the cant hold us song like a week ago for the first time on the radio (hot97), and i knew this guy was platinum but did no listen to any of his music or wanted to. i can atleast respect his indy grind but thats only because hes white, the only way an indy artist would get that much exposure on pop radio. *shrug*
