SMH at eating off Finesse beat, oh really, so niggas suing niggas for using songs on mixtape beats now. SMH

Finesse just saw an opportunity to eat and gain some relevance. Hopefully this lawsuit doesn't start a slippery slope. As a producer who built his career off sampling, Finesse is a clown for this.

Yet Jay-Z says he wants 700% percent if anyone puts his verses on their record.

Two different concepts, shit for brains. The Game took a unreleased verse Dr. Dre had of him and jumped on the track and second i thought using other peoples beats for mixtapes was a part of the culture.

If lord fineness paid who had to properly use the sample why shouldn't mac miller pay fineness?

Finesse put out his music for commercial consumption, Mac Miller did not.

That shit is corny. With the way producers is charging for licensing rights these days, shit like this make it harder for any young kid to come up in the game...DL2 dropping in 2013 btw

Wac Miller paid for Finesse's retirement. LOL

Offtopic: Is it just me or does Wac Miller remind you of Jesse from Breaking Bad?

I dont blame Finesse. Mac Miller's people should be up on sample clearance laws anyway. Also If i'm not mistaken Finesse was or is part of the DITC Crew which means he probably did some diggin to find the sample he used. If he's not part of the crew he should have to put the work in or pay like everybody else.

The sample clearance laws only applies when you put out music for commercial consumption. How is a mixtape commercial consumption?

So i guess all the rappers who Lil Wayne, CLipse, etc borrowed beats from should sue them for using their beats then. Jay should sue Lil Wayne for rhyming on Show me what you got and The Game should sue Clipse for rhyming Dreams.

I hope Finesse lawyer eat that settlement up in commission. Hip-hop suing itself is the last thing we need.

actually that one of the benefits of getting into music ... this is why they say elvis is still getting money from the grave .... if someone samplese your music your suppose to be compensated .... so you cant really hate on finesse for this move ....
