Someone explained the album backwards on Youtube.

Spring - Celebrations in a baby shower.

They.Resurrect.Over.New - T.R.O.N, a video game that came out during Lupe's birth year (1982).

Adoration of the Magi - He's just another baby at the time adored by The Game.

Madonna - Song for the only mothers raising their babies (Lupe did have a great father figure though).

Deliver - After he grew up a little, he's starting to see the unfairness he's been given.

Chopper - He's starting to see the true dangers of the ghetto and the violence.

Winter - Shit gets real so he's forced to stay inside

No Scratches - He came out unscathed and starts wondering why his people are doing this to each other.

Little Death - as the guns start killing each other, a part of the black communities dies one after another.

Body of Work - Lupe's take on the drug game and the stereotype of his skin color that leads his people downwards.

Prisoner 1 & 2 - Lupe's friends go to jail for drugs (like Chilly Chill) where he's the visitor meeting up with them.

Fall - Lupe makes it rapping and finally sees sunshine up the road ahead

Dots & Lines - Talking about his Deal with Atlantic and how much a disaster it really was.

Blur My Hands - With the death of his deal, he can move on to another world.

Mural - The final boss of the album, a lyrical slaughter that shows Lupe at his full potential with no boundaries

Summer - The future of Lupe as an independent rapper and the freedom he feels.

And there you have it, that is the album in reverse, it's basically a documentary of Lupe's life so far and what's to come.

Got me thinking about rearranging the album so it can play like this.

Filet mignon with my food stamps

Would tell you I don’t but it wouldn't be the truth

Let me hit you back on my government phone

Still a hood nigga, whatcha want me to do?

We get a blunt and a joint out of sawbuck of loud

Where I’m from we be actually hoopin’ in Jordans

Five dollar white t-shirts and them loose cigarettes

Ain’t nobody finna do shit important

People really don’t give no fuck about nothing

Although they may smile and be cordial

Dealin’ around with the wrong damn crowd

Then bring a frown to my friend up in an alley, we warned you

Background check for the chopper, the barrel

Breathin' back down the neck of imposters

The murder rate ain’t back down yet

Cause they ain't wrote that down yet

To the nigga that was tryna say somethin’

Some people, listen, you could be predisposed or be preconditioned

Or speak with the preacher, been preaching be the person

To be some process in your progress or be the prevention

I just live my life and I don’t stop grindin’ until God tell me to

I get money, I ain’t gotta sell my soul, ho, who the hell is you?

They say my kind ain’t welcome everywhere, well I can deal with that

But those who pop they shit get the shit popped outta them it's still a fact

So mind your business and stay the fuck outta mine

You’ll solve you'll find that this is best for everyone involved

All in all, the Lord my witness

My favorite verse on Chopper besides Lupe's

Tetsuo & Youth is raw, but after a week or so of being out, I can't say it's a better album than the fast talkin' on the hustle of The Cool

Y'all really think the lyrics Lupe spits are that hard to decipher? I never felt that way

Man get this shit TFOH ...lmao ..I mean I'm all down with looking int the deeper meaning of shut but half of these explanations ain't got shit to do with the content of the songs and just are attempts at breaking down the titles to the tracks ..lol

Fall - a lupe finally makes it rapping and sees the sunshine up the road ahead

Nigga WAT?

Got a few thoughts on this album after sitting with it since Wednesday. One, this isn't a classic. Two, this is not better than The Cool. This is a breath of fresh air from the fresh ass we've been getting in rap lately(outside of FHD). Chopper was entirely too long(Even Lu agreed with that). A great offering by Mr. Wasalu Jaco. 4.5/5 for me.

My favorites:

Adoration of the Magi

No Scratches

Dots and Lines

Yo the instrumentation matching up with Lupe's rapping on Adoration Of The Magi is so dope, Crystal Torres is nice wit it
