Its simple to understand really. Lupe is lyrical.... his flow is kinda boring..... his beats are semi lame.... and he talks about things that the dorky (for lack of a better word) crowd feel like they can relate to... so automatically they put him ahead of every rapper cause they feel like he represents them. Its laughable to say that lupe has 2 classics... those albums basically had no effect on hip hop whatsoever.... Hes dope for what he does.... and lyrical. But isn't well rounded enough. and them dudes would like anybody talkin about shit like he does

its more to it than that... it doesnt matter if u rhyme over popular beats or if u do it a ccapella..if u lyrical then u are lyrical...i agree dude got lyrics and i think dude has potential but to this point in his career he isnt great...he has to add more to his game
