When I "successful", I mean artistically AND commercially. So no wack conscious singles and no unheard of conscious songs.

Nas - One Mic

2Pac - Changes

Lauryn Hill - Doo Wop (That Thing)

Eminem - Mosh

Talib Kweli - Get By

Eve- Love Is Blind

Nas - I Can

2Pac - Keep Ya Head Up

Lauryn Hill - Lost One

Common - Retrospect For Life

Twista - Hopeful

What else we got?

No he criticized obama for "not saying shit." Because in America, we see Israel as unable to do any evil. We turn a blinds eye to every action of theirs. That was his point. So not only was it a jab at Obama it was a jab at the American populace.

And he shouldn't criticize bankers for the foreclosure crisis? His line was very true. If you miss a bank payment on your mortgage, you run the risk of losing your crib. He was not wrong here. That was one of the top causes for the bank crisis. Banks were giving out fradulent loans to ppl who couldn't pay for them. When it was time to collect their money, shit went haywire. There is no side to pick....except he's on the side of the people......

first off obama did make a statement about that he explicable said isreal overreacted and condemned hamas.

blame who started was publicly debated on CNN and other networks, see ppl live in this world where there is

some zionist conspiracy and ppl start to believe it,and when rappers make one line divisive comments like that it

only reinstates that whole the world is against me mentality, and instead of trying to work with the system, they just withdraw

from it.

as far as bankers go what about the ppl who lied about their income to get loans,

what about goverment programs, pushing bad loans, what about federal reserve policy,

what about ppl in the hood flipping houses. see alll these things contributed to the place we are in to just blame the banks as the boogie man is irresponsible.

I've had this track on repeat all day. I really don't understand what more Lupe can do, being that he's in a precarious situation with his label, and has been for quite awhile. Whether you like it or not, people should realize that in order to be heard by the masses (which really is the big picture in any genre of music) you aren't gonna have it your way aytime you drop an album.

You are going to succumb at one point or another. That's just what it is. It's no secret that Atlantic's grubby little paws are probably going to be on Lasers more than they were on Lu's first two joints. If what Lu was saying before has any truth to it, then they think ol' boy is a joke. His numbers haven't been out of this world, hence the black ball treatment.

And in all honesty, I think it's starting to affect him. He knows that he should have way more recognition than he currently does, that's why now he's prolly like "Fuck it. I want everybody to know I'm dope and I want everybody to hear what I hafta say." And to succeed in the fickle ass industry he knows what he has to do.

But good leaders also know how and when to be a follower.

And as far as the political ramifications of the song, what he did was no different from what Public Enemy, N.W.A and Pac used to do ALL THE TIME. It's just been so long since a mainstream hip-hop artist has done it people are wiggin' out and losing their minds. If you fear that this song will sway people in a direction, oh well. 9/10 those sheep are lazy and incompetent any damn way. Niggas are thirsty for knowledge, while at the same time, drowning in a sea of information.

If you can't formulate your own opinion then you're weak, but you can't get on dude for voicing HIS opinion. This generation is so PC sometimes it makes me sick.

I was actually trying to help you out. The fact that what you said wasn't a joke just shows your true ignorance (as if your reply post didn't seal the deal).

Why would I be mad because of your misguided opinion. What you eat don't make me shit? I was simply pointing out the fallacy in your train of thought. Should I apologize for sounding like an "emotional geek." Not really.

Let me help you out though:
