They probably heard the album and knew the shit wasn't gonna be marketable....which is probably why they gave him those 10 songs with pre-recorded hooks that he rejected.No single like "Kick, Push" taking off to give the label faith in putting money in this project. No hit like "Superstar". Like I said in another thread, there's a bunch of indie labels (or shit like GOOD Music) he could've went to that would back him no matter what. Or there's plenty of coffee shops where he can go to express his art without wasting people's time and money. 1. Atlantic is known for being shady, 2. They're not gonna spend a ton of money on shit they know isn't gonna sell, 3. Music industry is still a business, HE signed to them, and they are his BOSS. He knew what he was getting himself into.
