When Em makes serious/deep/emotional songs he raps/sings about exactly the same subject matter as African American rappers
Hailies Songs/Mockingbird/When I'm Gone and Daughters by Nas = parenting and loving your daughter
Rock Bottom/8 Mile Road/If I Had and My Block by 2pac = growing up in poverty working class inner city enviroment
Headlights and Dear Mama by 2pac = Loving your mother
Cleaning Out My Closet and Lil Homies by 2pac = Growing up in a broken single parent home
White America/We As Americans/Square Dance/Mosh and My Country by Nas = Politics, corrupt government, the system
Spacebound/Stronger Than I Was/Love You More/Superman and Goodbye ny Nas = Relationship issues, marriage heartache
I could go on and on but just a few examples. It just don't add up because Slim Shady type songs were never made to be related to they were made for entertainment purpose only while the serious/deep songs are the ones made to relate to
And songs like Mockingbird/Cleaning Out My Closet/When I'm Gone/Headlights etc are huge hits all over radio, MTV so even if u don't own an Em album u can't have not heard these songs which were top 10 hits on the chart
I'm no hypocrite and Em fans i know are no hypocrites i don't enjoy Nas music but hell yeah i can relate to Daughters and all the other Nas songs with same subject matter as Em's deep songs 100% can relate. It's just i don't enjoy hearing the songs musically but i can relate
