I always thought that was a given but it seems at times ppl wanna say well so and so ain't had a run like so and so therefore they're greatness is questioned which to me makes no sense but it happens

Success makes you famous for a minute...consistency makes you a legend FOREVER.

I'll take the sustained consistency 100% of the time.

Massive Success. Put that money to good use and find something else after the fame.

Funny how you mentioned Ja Rule/Nelly types like its the worse life ever.

If you have longer consistency it means your music has transcended and stood the test of time.

People will remember the quality of your career 20 years down the line as opposed to a 2-3 year span where you dominated but then fell off the map.

Massive.

Im smart enough to keep my money long like nelly and 50. Those 2 niggas stay making more than most niggas thats relevant without the music.

Those were the first ones to come to mind neither way is a bad way to live but losing relevancy after a few years to me isn't better then year after year of your name being a factor

This one is lightweight hard for me to answer. First off, both are good if you're a good manager, while both can be nothing if you can't manage money. My answer, I'd probably go with the massive success seeing that I have the game locked when it comes to making my money work for me, and I probably would only be able to deal with not much jet settin around all the gotdamn time. Shit would get on my nerves after a while. So yea, give me the money, I'll parlay it like a G, then I can sit my ass down off in the cut whenever I feel like. On top of that, I can jump back in the game or put my hand in the mix whenever I feel like choppin it up with the masses by making the money talk when I'm ready to release something.

The problem I'd have is that after you've had a couple of successful albums, you can't go out in public. People swarm around you, they want to touch you and ask for your autograph. That would get boring after a while. I've always wondered what long term celebrities do in their spare time. I mean, they can't go to the mall or go to a movie.

I wouldn't mind being hot for an album or two and then retiring although I can't think of too many people that choose that path.

I know Chill Rob G had a classic album in 1989 called Ride the Rhythm and called it quits because he didn't like his label or the industry. So he got a job as a security guard in a mall.

short massive by far

would rather be 50 than E-40, Common, Jadakiss, or Fabolous

yall cant put Nas or Jay in the other category because they have also had short massive success. (Nas in 94-97 with illmatic n IWW) and in 01-04 (stillmatic, ETHER n God's Son)

and of course Jay with Dynasty and Blueprint.
