how many people hatin on Banks in here downloaded and heard all the 5-6 mixtapes he put out last year? each and every one was dope, hell he had a mixtape double album that i swear will shit on most any mainstream album, and all the shit's for free.

ya'll say he's only a mixtape rapper, but what does that even mean when his mixtapes are as good as an album and features original dope beats and high quality production?.. truth is Banks is caked up enough through his G-Unit fanbase - through touring and shit whenever he needs to - that he's one of the few rappers in the industry that can put out mixtapes at such a high level. he's got an impressive back-catalog once you consider his mixtape career + two decent albums and work across G-Unit (he merked the T.O.S. album)

point blank Banks spits on a high enough level to put out enough consistent stuff to have actually have a good mixtape career, this is definately a positive thing for the fans who get good, free music straight from the souce in addition to the occasional studio album.

Rick Ross doesn't have the skills, raw talent, originality or even the fanbase to do anything but put out mainstream albums filled with guest spots and rehashed, rehearsed verses and content. the mixtapes i've heard from Ross are trash and his albums are average - good at best, but certainly not any better then anything put out by G-Unit/Interscope with Lloyd Banks spittin - 4 albums and counting yea Ross needs to catch up, shit Banks spits more on the G-Unit albums then Ross on his own albums once you consider all the guest spots.

Ok, let me explain further....Ross can make music that can/will be played for more than a few months...why? becuz he contains the formula to have his music requested and played all over. He knows how to get his shit into mainstream media, which is far from a bad thing...in fact, doing so will keep him relevant and around for some time...i believe thats called longevity. Granted, Banks makes better mixtapes...cant really argue that. But what percentage of the world really follow mixtapes like that, not Everyone looks for the next big mixtape to blow up on the scene...people want albums, hits, singles, videos..and most of all, ENTERTAINING MUSIC.
