What artist it took you a while to get into?

Keeping it 100 I thought PAC was a big mouth. I don't give a fuck was the first solo joint I ever heard of from him and was not pleased. Homies kept banging Violent and BGAB and they grew on me. Brother got locked for a few yrs and Solujah Story did it 4 me! " Hit the pen nigga, break ya bigger Brother out!" Resonated with me. Definition of a Thug Nigga and the ATL joint: Call it what u want dropped and I was a fan 4 life.

I bought Tical when it came out and didn't get it. It took me a while to appreciate Method Man as a solo artist. He was the one that stood out from the Wu at first.

Young Jeezy. Other than a couple songs was not a fan at all when he blew up. By the time The Recession dropped the nigga had my attention.

Eminem, when he dropped Hi, I was like bye

After that joint, I started to get into his music

Kanye West, I totally ignored his debut when it came out

When he released his sophomore, and I heard Gold Digger, I bought the album

And bought his debut not long thereafter

Biggie - was a Pac Stan as a kid and I blamed Big for his death. None of my friends fucked with him cause of Pac. Wasn't til I got older and realized how dumb it was and how ill BIG was. I was missing out.

same. Damn Pac almost ruined Biggie for me.

Lupe.

Thought he was corny at first and didn't like the geek/nerd but still hood rapper gimmick

Friend of mine put on the track daydreaming randomly and there was an Abu graib line in the 2nd verse that blew my mind. I gave him a 2nd chance and he became one of my favorite rappers of all time. Probably top 3
