Co-sign this thread fully. I tried to give Kanye shit a third listen , but I just couldn't. The shit is boring. His lyricism hasn't improved at all and his production isn't as powerful as years back. Banks just dropped by far his best allbum and easily the best mainstream rap album this year. After HFM let me down and Rotten Apple featured a number of poor filler tracks, HFM2 finally displays Banks as a truly talented artist who can make a damn good album.

There's overhype, and there's you just not liking the album, thats understandable but to the rest of the world ye deserves the acclaim

ye's album get all the acclaim because of its production, but the shit gets played out quickly: all of the lights (and the interlude), so appaled, devil in a new dress, dark fantasy and gorgeous are my joints, but the replay value of most the tracks have been marginalized already. That shit is inexplicable really... its hard to put a finger on it, but banks shit just have a longer shelf life, i think mainly because of the feel and the lyricism - its been a while since that sound banks provides has been packaged so well on an album....
