If we are going to get technical about the word MC then these people naming artists need to have seen these artists live because you can not gauge how good an MC someone is without seeing how well they can work a crowd and perform a set.

Exactly. Most people who've hated on an artist (and I mean that literally) have rarely heard their songs or guest appearances.

More people from all backgrounds and ethnicities are more likely to favor an Artist with a hardcore street element or association to their music verses an Artist who doesn't.
