Lil Wayne Reportedly Considering Legal Action Against Cash Money Records

The biggest question is what legal recourse does wayne have since he is the nigga that put himself in his position. Niggas saying Birdman should release the album or let wayne go on his own terms clearly don't know Stunna. This nigga has refused to pay anyone but the IRS money in the last 10 years if not 20 years in some cases.

Wayne signed a contract and wayne decided to stay with his "daddy" back when Def Jam tried to sign him and he had a way out back then. This is all on wayne and its not looking like he is going to leave the bushes anytime soon.

Wayne Is like Em, Jay, etc to me. Those dudes don't need singles or promo like that. They're gonna do them no matter what. Dude has enough equity to do whatever

It's better for Wayne to leave Cash Money.... he'd grow more creatively and become a bigger star outside of the label. It'll do his legacy wonders. Close the Cash Money chapter and rewrite a new one. Without Wayne, Baby has NOTHING. Lil Wayne could become the Willie Nelson of Hip-Hop with his body of work.

And Lil Wayne is a grinder too, he'll build another Cash Money in no time and be better off. It was HIS genius that found Drake and Nicki Minaj, it was HIS genius that gave birth to Young Money's reign, it was HIS genius to put Drake ad the forefront and not build them as a "crew", it was HIS genius that got him where he is. Birdman is a businessman he's not a musician. Wayne will leave that label and he won't get his masters but he'll make 3x more on his own with a new movement.

Lmao using genius to describe something wayne did

Dude, how bigger do Wayne need to get, as a star??

He's one of the biggest stars in music...

You can always better your best, you can always go above & beyond your limits. Niggas forget Wayne is only 32 years old, the average IC poster is 34, think about that fam... To say Wayne is "done" or "past his prime" would be ignorant. He's big now but he can become even bigger. Jay-Z is more famous today than he was 10 year ago with Dame. Kanye got bigger after he left Rocafella to be his own man, Dr.Dre got waaaay richer and even more successful AFTER Deathrow. This is no different with Lil Wayne. He can get even bigger by writing a new chapter in his life and having the freedom to do as he pleases.

In Rock & Roll, U2 is bigger now than they were in their musical primes, Aerosmith, The Who, Rolling Stones, Dave Grohl (originally from Nirvana). All these acts got even bigger than they were in their former "primes" when they were forced to change. Hip-Hop is still young so we don't ascribe value to our artists yet but in time we will because Hip-Hop is a culture & still a huge part of black culture so the music will live on.

Avg if poster is 34 since when?

Music wise Jay went 5 times platinum with Dame

I doubt Wayne would be where he is w/ out Baby.Manny crafted the 1st Carter and that was when Wayne became what he is today.Idk if Wayne could have had the right beats, perfect co writers and backing to become a superstar with anybody else.I don't think Wayne can get any bigger.

Baby need Wayne way more than Wayne need Baby. Baby is just a street nigga with the money and the muscle. You can be as loyal as you want to someone but the trick is that loyalty being reciprocated back to him. This shit shouldn't even be a discussion if Baby was playing fair with his biggest star plus someone you call family. Wayne finally opened his eyes and hopefully sees he is the one with the true power. If it wasn't for Wayne staying back then when everyone bounced, then Cash Money wouldn't be shit right now.

And it comes to this. After years of appeasing Wayne with figurehead positions, labels, money, cars and shit Baby and Wayne are beefing over creative differences.

Wayne sat back and watched Baby figuratively rape his homies, producers, and everybody except the federal government and now they beefing over whether the Carter 5 is "ready" or not?

This just goes to show how flimsy all this was from the beginning, it's just been one big Jenga board and finally Baby pulled the wrong piece and it's all going to fall. It's honestly quite pathetic.

It goes without saying but wayne should have been left, he could have been just as successful without Baby as he was with him but I'd argue that he has been on the downslope for 10 years, it's just becoming more visible than before because he's not tearing up the radio like he usually does. That's sort of the pattern with artists though, their work is more appreciated when their famous even if it's of lesser quality than previous efforts.

I won't say the nigga is done, he still young but his best days are more than likely behind him, his best hope is that a change in labels would be a creative rejuvenation.

Lol it seems like Birdman has a special section in the bushes where just lawsuits go. Good luck to wayne.

nigga Wayne ready to retire though 1 maybe 2 more albums and hes gone

wayne should say that he was under psychological duress when he signed that contract because baby basically raised him and exposed him to an unsafe and overly sexual environment at a young age.

i heard a rumor that baby sent hoes to suck waynes dick when he was still ones 14.
