I was worried they would move the thread because you mentioned reason and they probably will now.Anyways.Your post are always top 10.What do you prefer indie or major labels.

I fuck mainly with major label niggas. But I dig some indie cats. My thing is that I like an even balance of hooks, lyrics and beats. If your hooks and beats are wack...you need to BLOW MW AWAY lyrically. If your lyrics are wack, you need to BLOW ME AWAY with the beats. And in that situation, I prolly won't buy your album. I'm def just copping the singles.

LMAO.Come on dude this thread is not about me.lol.You´re such an asshole.

Yo being that Spanish and Poutugese are similar I can understand most of this your struggling with wanting to keep saying what you feel in your lyrics to wanting to make it big right? What does the Brazilian audience vibe more to yo lyrics or Hip Pop?

Imma give you another example of what im talking about these guys were complicated lyrically but never over the average persons head.Check:

Now what the fuck is this, how can this be mainstream, the average listener cant keep up with this.Could be the flow/delivery:

^Dig what im saying? The average cat drinking in the club trynna grind on bithces aint gonna relate to the last two.At least beyond the beats and hooks. These MC's nowadays make songs for other rappers I think.Like the lyrics are too complex,or their flow and delivery on the song is not easy to grasp..

Yeah some cats is too lyrical and they dont flow or rock the beat properly sometimes.I dont like awkard ass subject matter either.Like that methaphysical/battle mc shit i only give a pass to Rakim and no one else since then..I posted some links.Listen to the difference in Rakims flow and delivery over the GZA..like you cant make out what G is saying after a while.Like hes literally raping your ears.

Rakim rocks and flows the beat well, and they pretty much talking about both being nice.

IMO:Flow,Delivery,Tone, actual lyrics, then wordlplay and complexity of lyrics come last...

Yeah from Canibus to Papoose madd lyrical but can't make a song to save they fuckin life. But I love a rapper that can combine all that together and have a bitch bouncing and have me go wait shit listening to a lyric damn near years later and catching the meaning to a lyric. I guess that's why to me IMO Biggie was and is still King to this shit.

Sidenote Giants and Eagles gonna really fight before the night is out yo.

I think both ideas are crazy. You can´t keep it real and blow up.Thats why I´ll never blow up.There´s people that done told me yo turn it down. But I still do shows and get a litte dough.I guess the audience out here is all over the place and there´s a audience for everything.

I'll let John Robinson break it down for ya (but then he's speaking from an early 2000 perspective) he gets into the meat of it about 1 min into the track

My advice would be to just keep rapping. If all you want to do is make music, just keep making music. If you feel you're good at it, nothing wrong with making money off it here and there. You could get on soundclick, youtube, myspace, soundcloud, itunes, amazon, CD Baby, or whatever. Put it out so folks can reach it and keep at it.

But if you looking to get the fame and flashy lights of slavery.... I can't help you there too much. Just read up and learn from the mistakes of other major artist. At least know how to swim before jumping in the water with sharks.

My advice would be to do you make music you like what you feel is good out of the love of it. Don't follow any trend or whats hot today with kids make music of quality and watch people listen because this bullshit that gets love today will be forgotten tomorrow but good music is always remembered.

Understand the business and that success is more hustle than skill.

Make sure those hooks are tight and people can sing along to 'em.

Find flows that allow you to showcase lyrical dexterity while being catchy enough for people to rap along to.

Make sure you're clear in your enunciation and delivery.

Dope beats.
