I really appreciate the moderators coming in here to vote. They did their thing. Only thing is, it is midnight eastern time so time is up and we're still tied lol. 6-6. I wish both battlers could advance but someone has to go. I am going to try and find some more people to vote. This is crazy. After 12 voters, still no clear winner. the way Melendez put the "wicked" and "Satan" line toghether was clever.
The last four candy bars he put at the end was sweet. I don't know if yall caught that but it's the reason y I say C. Melendez won.

Gravitation didn't impress me wit his constipated rhymes. The Big Sean/Young Money punchlines really didn't do it for me either.

Grav's shit was a bit corny and forced at times but ima give him the edge. He way came harder (super no fucking homo) than Melendez.

They both were good, but I liked C. Melendez's verse better. Especially the ending with the candy, made it seem cohesive and creative.

OK. I was asked to break the tie.

Having read both verses and spit the to myself, I have to say this:

Melendez's verses had some nice lines in it (the Murder Inc/no Ashanti line, flow wise, was really good)

However, the switching from one rhyme scheme to another seemed totally random and off-bar at times. And the ABBA line was wack.

For a battle rhyme, it had some decent punchlines, but very random.

Now Grav's verse had simpler lines to it, sure.

I think the flow of his line fit better, especially the last eight bars and the candy lines. Very creative.

This is closer, cause there's flaws and strong points in each verse, but my vote goes.....

....Gravitation.

he jus had better lines for a text battle

i think melendez had a better flow suited for a song,

Finally. After a shitload of votes, ItzGravitation edges it out in a close victory. TOO close. I hope C.Melendez participates in the summer tournament. He has crazy skills.
