I believe it's important, especially if your s/o LOVES food. My mom taught me and my sisters how to cook when we were still really young (like 9 or 10). When I still lived with my parents me, my mom, & my sisters would take turns cooking. I thank God that my mom taught us how because it's kinda sad that so many women don't know how. I don't believe it's a deal breaker on it's own but If you're not willing to learn how then it should be.

Very important.
I do have a profound love for food and our relationship is strong. Seriously, I need a man who LOVES to eat just as much as I do. Those who eat like birds and have very little appetites make me feel uncomfortable and I just don't see how they could appreciate me and my deep admiration for food if we aren't on that save level when it comes to food. I need to be able to make that 7 course meal for him to enjoy. It would also be nice for him to be open to trying different cuisine and get equally as excited as I do when consuming delicious foods.
I genuinely love & enjoy cooking so if he doesn't genuinely love eating just as much, it will be a problem.

Whenever my wife and i get into an arguement one of her silent protests is not making my plate. Its not a big thing and she swears aint nothing wrong but she doesnt do something she does 99% of the time. Conversely I've also disregarded food made for me as well.
