I know I must try ten times harder to get the women, especially when it comes to the sisters. Now I'm quite attractive, have cool personality and have a lot going for myself. And yet still I am often discriminated against based on my dark complexion. I was wondering what is there left for me to do that will make me more attractive? Should I just give up and become an asexual monk? Should I bleach my skin? Should I play the stereotypical ultra thug role that the media love to portray us dark skin black guys as? I may sound sarcastic right now, but I'm being as serious as cancer.

must be the part of the country your in. When I'm in Alabama or down south I tend get more love. I'm guessin because its nothin but black ass dudes down there anyway. lol. And I'm not necessarily saying I gets absolutely no play up here but women for the most part up here seem to favor lighter skin dudes and it shows.

were popular with the girls were light skinned or brown skinned....

i don't know too many grown women who think like this though

obviously im not talking out my ass here because a fellow detroiter agrees with me. dark skin brothers have it hard up here. And the reason you don't know too many "grown" women who think like this is because their past their prime and will settle for anyone even if its outside their preference. Thats why could never get with a lot of these sisters for the sake of being considered a last resort.

I agree. I have seen fat dark skin gurls bitch about their skin tone when it was really their weight that kept them from being attractive towards the opposite sex. But there is an aspect of the black community that is blantantly color struck. I have witnessed and experienced it. As said before my bad experiences hasn't only derived from relationships, but growing up as a child. To say I was put through HELL in my younger years would be an understatement. So there is a mentality that many black parents indoctrinate in their children when comes to skin complexion. Where else would they have adopted such hatred for darker individuals. There is a deeper issue and you cannot deny it.
