Naw man,., I am happy with the quality of a lot of these projects now but this ain't nothing like the golden era. In the golden era you had so many rappers with different styles but they were all dope. We got album after album of dopeness, the wack rappers were around but they were few and far between. Man now you have dope rappers who are forgotten and albums totally slept on while wack ass rappers get all the shine. If yall want this to be a golden era you need to kick all these wack ass rappers out of this shit.

for those that disagree, what do you think hip-hop is still missing ? Better production ?,Better videos ?,Better lyrics ?,

I probably should've chose a better thread title, but i think that there's a lot of quality music out there and it's

starting to become more balanced.

The lyricism that made the Golden Era the Golden Era. Music may have gotten better than the shitslop that was dropping the past 10 years, but still not touching the impact of that era.

I saw golden era and clicked/scrolled down and see Rick Ross and Meek Mill...

I'm not saying that this era is or is gonna be better than the original "Golden Era",I'm saying that there's so much

quality music out that the culture is starting to get back to what it used to be. Currensy's last 3 or 4 projects have

been dope,Hodgy Beats just dropped the Dena Tape 2 and the first one is what made me a fan of Mellowhype,Lupe

just dropped a great project,Joey Badass just dropped a great debut,YG,Nipsey Hussle,Drake just dropped a surprise

album...before the album,The Watch the throne album,Jay's last joint,I didn't even get to the URL,KOTD and other

battle leagues,Kendrick's last joint,Schoolboy Q who's album could of been better but had 3 strong singles(Collard

Greens,Break the bank,Man of the Year),Tyler's last joint,Earl Sweatshirt's debut,there is a lot of good music out.

To call something such and such era really has to be done from the future. Are you saying 10 or 20 years from now people are going to look back on 2015 as a 2nd golden era? fuck outta here

That's what I'm saying. Niggas be forgetting albums to name when it's time to name the albums of the year. Niggas be like ummm, Run The Jewels came out....oh yeah Big Krit! If people are forgetting albums now they damn sure won't remember them 15 years from now.. Like I said there's a lot of good music coming out but I just can't call it a golden era.. Now if the current Hiphop game was dominated by let's say Kendrick, Cole, and artists like that maybe we can call it a golden era. The original golden era didn't have a lot of one hit wonders like yall do now.
