Niggas really get in they feelings when you don't turn into Rosenberg every time you hear kdot rap... The album is good be to be honest it seems better then what it is only becuz it's different... Very good album but not album of the year and if I gotta play it for 6 months to feel its greatness then all I did was make myself like it more then what I really do
CAnt say if that strue or not bc its too early, but tHe premise is right. Its gonna take a month or so and a few listens AND a set it down and pick it back up before you really judge this album. Right now the adrenaline is too high and there's no way this album could have been anything but 'omg omg omg!'
@StoneColdMikey is a good example.
He a youngin so like this is his Blueprint, his 1st listen of Illmatic, etc. The young nggas NEED that moment lol Older cats know what it felt like to first listen to all time great albums as an adult/high teens. Young nggas really havent, so 'Tetsuo & Youth' or 'Cadillactica' will just have to be classic to them. They force it.
Meanwhile an older ngga like me is just confused. Like i
just listened to The Fix. The goalposts arent supposed to change are they? So if an album had to be that good to be classic, shouldnt it have to be that good to be classic now? Not just beats, but lyrics.
Imo If we go 10 years without a classic alum, then thats just what happen. We dont
make shyt that isnt classic, classic, just bc its the best we got.
