Wale can rap. He's a good/great songwriter as well. But is this really his lane? Not everybody has travelled that road of battling or have the skills for it. Just like many battle emcees cant write as good of a song.

Wale is more of a 2pac-esque rapper. Good/great songwriting and lots of content that can rap but not necessarely the best wordsmith or witty. He's more of a poet.
