I think my favouritism for TPAB out of all his studio albums stems from it's rich music-ality.. and me being a huge jazz aficionado

I never said the album was wack. It is in fact a GOOD album like I originally said. And it is dope musically. In fact, the arrangement and layering of the production is probably TPAB's best aspect.But I feel that it is a concept album that serves as mood music. It was not game changer nor was it a banger that you could just throw on anytime you felt like it.

People these days are so thirsty for lyricism and deeper music that when someone drops a competent project (especially with an established name and track record like Kendrick), everyone is so quick to hail the album as a classic and start talking Top 5 and shit like that...

I disagree. Ive said before i respect tpab for what it is but its a much heavier album all the way thru n im not saying that in a bad way...but Damn is a lot more easier to listen to regardless of your mood and u still get good production, lyrics and flows. It also has a lot more bang to it.

So you "prefer" it more, but better is a definite no. DAMN has a grip of songs that serve no real purpose. TPAB front to back, each verse/song has a defined purpose. DAMN's lyrics are weak in comparison.
